First time in an hostel after a lifetime of world travel in conventional and private lodgings. The price is outstanding. The facilities are distinctive, but uniformly clean, functional and absolutely adequate. The staff is wonderful - capable, cooperative and friendly. One of the few times that I received much more than I paid for.

A very nice looking place and always kept clean. They serve both breakfast and dinner which I have never heard of before. Plus they offer a free beer or wine with every dinner. The staff are all amazing. It was so neat to visit with small families and people from all over the world. It truly is a wonderful place. Thanks everyone for an awesome eight days.

I am giving this place 5 star not because its a 5 star place this is a hostel where you can get a private room or stay with others. For the price I had an amazing experience with the Ocean Island Inn. The room was great I was upgraded when I checked in and the upgrade was appreciated! They serve breakfast and dinner everyday for a free and you get a free drink as well! The staff are friendly and helpful! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! It's close to everything as well which is handy! Thank you for the stay!

A real gem in Victoria, would recommend! Affordable, comfortable stay in a very convenient location (2 minute walk from a central bus stop that brings you to and from the ferry terminal). The place is clean and fun; the included meals (vegetarian) are a great perk. Special thanks to the whole staff who is kind and professional. I found that everyone made an effort to make guests feel welcome and safe. Lots of conveniences like luggage storage, shower items for sale, laundry, etc. Un merci tout particulier à Yannick pour son accueil et de beaux moments au bar -- à la prochaine !
