ALT Hotel Winnipeg

The hotel and staff were awesome, and my room made me feel so at home. It was easy to login to wifi, and there were so many little extras that were offered which made my experience feel so relaxing. Would definitely stay at The Alt in the future. Gave 4 stars on location simply because it's not a super safe place to walk alone (lots of sirens at all hours), but the hotel manages security very diligently! I never felt unsafe inside the hotel.

Pillows all smell of dirty sweaty people. Rooms echo with noise because they are exposed concrete, like a jail cell.

Stayed on 16th floor. Its like a freight train station is above your room. Not sure what causes the loud noises, but its almost impossible to sleep. They even leave earplugs in the room because they know this is a real issue. Internet connection is terrible, pizza (only meal offering) was burnt. Shower water pressure changes throughout...the list goes on. Simply not worth the money, as is with most Alt hotels.

General cleanliness of the room not in line with the price and Alt brand expectations. Top surfaces were clean, but caulking around the tub as well as hidden surfaces (like around the soap and conditioner dispenser) were grimy. Staff was uninformed about the city or any food recommendations in the area. I have stayed in a number of Alt Hotels in the past, and this one was a disappointment.

We were traveling for conference to Winnipeg, and picked Alt for our stay. It was the best decision ever! Rooms were modern and clean and staff were friendly! I loved our stay in this hotel. We saw our friends room in another 5 star hotel and alt was way better! The only thing I would mention is to bring toothbrush as they do not provide or you should buy a pack! It should be better to have tooth kit as it is basics! Otherwise best stay in Winnipeg!

Stayed here while in town for work and was pleasantly surprised.

The hotel parking is hell. 3 spots for cars in front to drop off ..not enough. Scary area of downtown. Did not feel safe in the parkade as it is an open space. No complimentary water in rooms. Showers only. The lounge had a guitarist one night that was quite good. Very noisy, sirens. Its across the street from Canada life centre meaning very busy area of Freetown and packed during jets games. My recommendation is find a hotel that has safer parking in a not do busy sector. Its attached to a time hortons that's not open on weekends. Its like a maze to get to the parade which is located on Hargrave street but the hotel idle on Donald street.

I enjoyed a wonderful night stay. Very clean rooms.

Very nice modern hotel. Staff is very helpful. The gym was well equipped and you can request for a yoga mat to your room. Tea and kettle along with bathrobe can be requested as well. Great location, very close to the Canada life centre.
