I had a very enjoyable stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The hotel’s location is truly outstanding and one of its greatest strengths. Situated right by the river, it offers spectacular views of both the water and the Austin skyline. The sunset views are absolutely beautiful, with the skyscrapers glowing against the evening sky. One of the highlights of staying here is how close it is to the famous Austin bat viewing area. Within just a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the bridge and watch thousands of bats emerge at sunset—one of Austin’s most iconic attractions. It was a memorable experience that added something special to our stay. The fitness center is well-equipped and maintained, making it easy to keep up with workouts while traveling. The swimming pool is also pleasant, comfortable, and a great place to relax after a day of exploring the city. Another pleasant surprise was the hotel’s restaurant, Ripple & Roots. The barbecue dishes were absolutely delicious—flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. It was a wonderful dining experience and a great option for guests who want to enjoy quality Texas-style barbecue without leaving the hotel. The service provided by the hotel staff was generally excellent. Team members were friendly, professional, and willing to assist whenever needed. The main area that could be improved is communication with the housekeeping staff. We experienced some difficulty due to limited English proficiency, which made certain requests challenging to explain. In addition, when calling the hotel, the phone system is often answered by an automated service rather than a person, which can sometimes be less convenient when immediate assistance is needed. Overall, Hyatt Regency Austin offers an exceptional location, stunning views, great amenities, excellent dining, and very good service. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Austin.

Excellent leadership and customer service from Siannah. She not only listened to and addressed a few minor issues, but also ensured they were resolved quickly and followed up the next day to confirm everything was taken care of. Her attentiveness and professionalism were greatly appreciated during my conference stay. Thank you for going above and beyond to make the experience a positive one.

Overall, this was an exceptional experience and one of the better Hyatt stays I have had. The Hyatt Regency Austin team did an outstanding job across the board. Management was highly engaged, with multiple welcoming emails and follow-ups before and during the stay, which made the experience feel personal and well handled. I requested a specific room and received it, which I really appreciated. The room itself was excellent: clean, comfortable, spacious, with a large TV and a beautiful view. Everything about the actual hotel experience was 5 out of 5. My only complaint is not specific to this location, but more about the broader hotel and airline trend of constant added charges. Charging $58 per night for parking feels like a money grab, especially for loyal Hyatt members and especially when the garage had plenty of open parking. When a guest is already paying to stay at the hotel, a parking fee at that level feels insulting. Loyalty benefits also feel pretty thin these days. I am currently Explorist, not Globalist, but there is very little meaningful value at that tier. “Premium internet” does not feel like a real benefit anymore when most hotels offer one internet package to all guests. There is also no Regency Club at this property, which was disappointing. The $35 shop credit was appreciated, but the shop prices are marked up significantly, so the credit basically covered four large waters. That said, the actual Hyatt Regency Austin location and staff were excellent. The service, communication, room, view, and overall experience were outstanding. The property itself deserves full credit.

Loved everything about this stay!! I was there for a conference but enjoyed surrounding areas of Austin. It was great to be able to walk to so many beautiful places - endless dining and music options. The best part was the staff though!!! Too many to name between the parking attendant, bartenders and others but LEO at the front desk made our stay magical. He was so kind and welcoming- made great recommendations for experiences off site - and spoiled this birthday girl for an unforgettable weekend. 10/10 can’t wait to go back!

Bartender could be a little more friendlier or have manners. Did not greet herself and even say thank you after signing the bill. We drove 7 hours to stay at the hyatt.

This hotel is really nice The staff are very very helpful From the moment I arrived for Reggae Fest 2026 at Valet on Friday in April 17th the valet staff was great! My room wasn’t quite ready ( I was early 130- 2 pm ish ) but storage on main level is available for your convenience! They had an outdoor pool right by the water ! And a hot tub The indoor snack & restaurant was great for quick bites!! Coffee , ice cream etc The room was nice I loved the outdoor balcony facing the water ! It was close to down town events And clean and easy access regardless of done construction close by

Honestly can’t say enough good things about this Regency location. It’s our second time back - first since the renovation. The rooms are awesome! Spacious, clean, refurbished. The pool area is pretty stellar as well. Big pool, with hot tub. Cabanas available for rent. Surprisingly, the only thing that wasn’t super exceptional was the restaurant on site. Food was basic (and overpriced) as was the service. All in all though, great stay. If you get a room with a balcony, highly recommend! Perfect view of the city scape.
