Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is a legal organization pushing for LGBTQ+ rights through lawsuits, policy changes, and public education. You'll find them downtown at 16 Winter Street, a good example of the kind of advocacy group that underpins many LGBTQ+ communities, giving support that goes beyond just bars and clubs.
For visitors to Boston curious about LGBTQ+ history and activism, organizations like GLAD offer a real look into the area's civil rights past. The group tackles key issues for LGBTQ+ people, everything from marriage equality to job protection.
If you're looking into local advocacy, learning about civil rights, or just trying to understand Boston's LGBTQ+ scene, GLAD gives you a peek at the serious, ongoing work that happens to advance equality.
Check their website to learn about what they're doing now and how to get involved. It's a solid stop if you want to see the activist and legal side of LGBTQ+ Boston, a different angle from the city's social life. Being downtown means it's easy to get to while you're seeing the rest of the city.

Unhelpful. Do not spend your valuable time giving them information. They do not really have a database of resources. They are spinning their wheels.
If you are in need of legal assistance reach out.
Generally unhelpful, but depends on when you call. LGB Advocate defenders is a teenager staffed volunteer legal support hotline. The teenager volunteers and baby boomers staff are fairly hit or miss, as with most non-profits. No lawyers are available to help. It’s best to treat lawyers like cops and avoid if at all possible. Some GLAD volunteers are mean spirited. Don’t expect a result from calling GLAD.
best dentist ever!! everyone was so nice and they also make you laugh !!
