About this place Decibel (The Belmont)

Decibel is the late-night dance club that reopened the storied 954 West Belmont address in 2026, the former home of Berlin nightclub. Earlier in the evening the same space runs as The Belmont, a cocktail bar, before it turns over to Decibel's dance floor on weekend nights. Staffed in part by Berlin alumni, it aims to carry forward the address's decades-long reputation as a queer dance institution steps from the Belmont Red Line.

Partying here for pride weekend. No crazy hour long lines and no increased price gouging with covers like most other clubs this weekend 🌈Since reopening under new ownership and management, this place is headed in a great direction. Gone are the broken mirrors, dirty bathrooms, and negative attitudes that had become all too common. One of the best decisions the new owners made was bringing back a bartender (Markus) from the previous era who truly understands what made this bar special and how it should be run. The venue has received a much-needed facelift while still honoring its roots and the memories that made it a favorite for so many people. Many people may not realize they've reopened yet, but give it a month or two and I believe this place will be more popular than ever. The new management clearly cares about both the business and its customers, and it shows. Even the person working the door is friendly and welcoming, which helps create a positive atmosphere from the moment you arrive. While it may not be exactly the same bar we remember, the changes are for the better. It's refreshing to finally have more options for alternative and non-mainstream music, and I'm looking forward to spending many summer nights dancing here. We all missed having this place around, but the closure was necessary to make way for positive change. I'm excited to see what the future holds! Here for market days 2026 and it’s awesome no insanity of lines waiting 45 minutes to get in as others and awesome crowd not the typical top 40 over and over music And mixed crowd gay straight bi trans and all between. Great door staff friendly who takes cover and the bartenders cool. And during week, excellent drink specials even better Management has this place rolling perfectly !

The bartenders were really kind, nice staff, great vibes, very similar to the feel of Berlin because of the great crowd and DJs returning. Hoping to see some drag shows come back to this space. Berlin was so missed the last few years so it's exciting to see this space come back to life.

The bartenders are handsone and really on it. The type to give your drunk ass a glass of water, 0 shame, and keep ur night pumping w 0 hangups or whatever. And they're all good looking, man or woman.
