About this place Progress Bar

Progress Bar is a gay dance bar at 3359 N Halsted, on the corner of Roscoe in Northalsted (Boystown). It replaced the old Cocktail bar on the same site. Expect DJs, a bar-and-dance-floor layout and a younger crowd at weekends, with nearby bars a few steps away for bar-hopping. It is closed Mondays and opens from 17:00 Tuesday to Friday, 15:00 on Saturday (until 03:00) and 13:00 on Sunday. Reviews are mixed (around 3.5), with lines and door staff among the complaints, so arrive before the late-night rush at weekends.
