Aaron's Apothecary, a gay-owned independent pharmacy on North Clark Street, is a real Lincoln Park fixture.
It's not just for prescriptions. This place stocks everything from medicine to good grooming products, all in a space that feels genuinely welcoming to LGBTQ+ people.
What makes it different? It's the personal service, for one. And then there's the vintage decor—thoughtful, not just slapped on—that makes the place feel warm. Forget the usual chain pharmacy vibe. Here, they actually want to connect with you. You're not just another transaction.
You'll find Aaron's Apothecary easy enough to get to in Lincoln Park. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you what gay-owned businesses do for a neighborhood: sometimes, it's not about the bars or the clubs. Sometimes, it’s just about buying what you need, feeling respected, and getting real service in a place that feels like yours.

Love this place. Quaint and old school, we should have more of that in our life. They were recently purchased by a chain. I haven’t been back yet since. But I understand that all employees are staying so I am bringing my business back
I lived next door to this shop for two years, and it was so convenient. I was able to pick up prescriptions and high quality self care products in one stop. I have super sensitive skin, and they sell products I can actually use! Their stuff is a little pricey, but definitely worth it. And their seasonal displays, which they clearly put a lot of thought and effort into, really brighten my day.
They are"old fashioned" nice. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
I love the shave kits they offer
Excellent little pharmacy with a unique assortment of other goods and trinkets.
