Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade

Wonderful experience while on a business trip last week. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Thank you.

The beds are so comfortable. The location is great.

Beautiful historic building in a prime location. Comfy beds and attentive staff. Clean as a whistle, nice water pressure. All the boxes are checked. Stay here ASAP.

A hotel no longer deserving the Hyatt Regency Brand, if it ever did. The brand used to stand for high quality and there may still be some that do. This hotel is more a reminder of a roadside motel. While the bed was comfortable, everything else from the decor, the non existent lighting, a bathtub shower dangerous to get in an out of and the smallest bar of soap I’ve ever seen was what I will remember of this experience. Food quality at breakfast was OK but they tried to make up for lack of quality with quantity. I still believe the Hyatt brand evokes a level of quality above a Marriot or Hilton but well below a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. Unfortunately, this particular Hyatt does the brand more harm than good. To be honest, if the Ritz had not been sold out I would have booked there. That being said, I had a lot of other options in Cleveland and chose to rely on the Hyatt reputation. I wrote this review because I believe Hyatt is still a brand to be trusted but this particular property, no!

The hotel is stunning! We have stayed in the past, but never in the suites close to the atrium. We were well aware there were 2 weddings during our stay and knew it could get loud. HOLY MOLY was it deafening loud. I paid for a bigger room since we were staying with 2 small children and need the extra space, but totally regretted it in hindsight. The rooms were mildly clean at best. Found trash under the pullout mattress and the room itself was really dusty and the tub had some mold in the corners. Hotel staff was friendly and we ordered some drinks from the bar which were decently priced. For what it’s worth, if you’re down to party, this is a good hotel to listen to the wedding dj’s and bands, but if you’re coming with small children, stay away! Sound machines will not drown out the noise. Totally not up to my standards as a Hyatt location.

AVOID any room on the "arcade" (floors 2-4)! The walls are paper thin between the central arcade and the rooms such that anyone walking by can hear everything happening in your room and you can hear every word they say. Even worse, a single loud person will echo through the entire first 4 floors, so one loud drunk at 2 am is like someone pulling the fire alarm. Beyond that, there are virtually no outlets in the rooms (none by the bedside), the rooms are smaller than usual, the lighting is terrible and the entertainment system is virtually useless. Many better hotels nearby.

Beautiful hotel. Overall, I had a great experience. Upon checking into my room, I noticed there was no toilet paper. I called the front desk and spoke to Anthony to send some up, but nothing happened. The next morning, I asked for toilet paper and spoke to Jena before my meeting. When I returned to the room later that evening, there was still no toilet paper. I went to the front desk, and finally, Mekai provided me with some. My issue isn't the room not having toilet paper, but the number of times I had to request it before it was finally provided. That in itself says a lot. The food at the on-site restaurant was wonderful.

Rooms were larger than expected and nicely updated. Only thing I would change is having queen beds vs. doubles. And, they sent cookies:-).

Great location, everything was in walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back.

The location is excellent if you are wanting to tour some of Cleveland’s best dining and catch a show… maybe play some slot machines… but the television in the room is a little bit dated and some of the staff can be a bit snobby.
