First time in a hostel and I really enjoyed this one! The lockers are a bit finnicky, but the pod was nice and had a super fun futuristic design. I felt really safe with the locked front door and room door, and I love that there are women only dorms. The location is a great area of the city where I also felt safe and welcomed. I love that they have pride flags out front. You can also leave your luggage after checkout, which I appreciate. Would absolutely return on another solo trip.

DONT BOOK, terrible service, didn't refund me despite my effort, ignore mails, bad communication, the whole booking process is messy (tho """automatized""") and designed so you don't persevere.

It's a hostel, and it's nicer than most in the area. It's bare-bones, but everything is clean and more or less works, and I'd live in a capsule all the time if I could. Power outlets are scarce, but the front desk loans out charging blocks for free and you can switch them out at will. Staff is friendly and helpful and the vibes are great. I stay here every time I come to DC

A great experience. Aside from the facilities being a little outdated, everything else was excellent.

+ Cannot dispute that their hostels are great value for money. Other options in the area, even if cheaper, were basically sub-par. + The staff was incredible. Very supportive and professional. + Great location - you could walk to most locations. The subway and bus stops were also a few mins away. +/- The pod and bed were comfortable. There were some signs of aging (a very small part of the pods interior was coming off), not to mention it didn't really have a working plug so you couldn't really charge your phone/laptops inside the pod. - Check in via a rather complex process for which you a have to download an app and upload your information/doc.

I stayed in one of the capsule room that comes with an individual locker, and capsule itself had a curtain at the pod which I felt safe. Check-in process seems a bit complicated because it’s so simple! I liked the idea of getting everything done on my phone. However, as the other people pointed out, the outlet in the pod did not work properly. I had to ask the staff on Goki app and they told me they are currently waiting for the replacement. Their response was really quick and they handed me a power bank that I can keep for the rest of my stay instead. It was a great stay overall. If you are looking for cheap place to stay around the U street, this is the one.
