Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel

My fiance and I had a great stay! We were visiting Columbus from Louisville and stayed here to go to COSI the next day. Valet staff were upbeat and friendly and Laura at the front desk was beyond helpful. The staff is great as well as the location.

My fiance and I stayed here for his birthday and had a great experience! I felt a bit grungy walking up to the desk in my sweatpants and expected the staff to be snobby but the lady that checked us in was very nice and down to earth, I believe her name was Laura. She gave honest unrehearsed suggestions when we asked where to eat, and she also immediately noticed that we were from Kentucky and told us “welcome”. Loved our room too! We had a great view of the city. The hot tub and pool are pretty nice too.

Needs updating badly. Hotel restaurant gets the rating it deserves. Service is nice.

Excellent staff and service. The rooms are clean and well kept. I recommend the place if your visiting Columbus, Ohio.

This hotel SAVED our trip. We originally booked an Airbnb for a music festival and had to change plans. Booked this hotel on Thursday morning (the first day of the 4 day festival) and not only did they still have rooms available, but they also did a price match to an online price, let us check in early for no extra fee, and helped unravel a mess that the phone reservationist created by butchering my name in the reservation. They turned a stressful start to my vacation into a completely stress free stay. The hotel is super nice and ALL of the employees have been super nice and personable and helpful. 10/10 would stay again.

There were some appreciable maintenance and housekeeping issues with our room and the common areas, enough so that I'd be uncomfortable staying in our room again. The cold water tap in our bathroom faucet was inoperable and the the shower didn't drain.

Rooms need an upgrade.
