Once again, Selden Standard impressed us. We come back every summer for the Corn Agnolotti, it is such an amazing dish. The pork rib was delicious. The tartar was absolutely perfect. The halibut was good, but probably the weakest dish of the evening. The potato dish was good, but the potato preparation could be improved. Selden excels at sauces and other accouterments, and the potatoes were no exception to this, but the flavors didnt penetrate the dense potato so it tended to be a bit mealy. Smash them and cook them so they get a bit of a crisp and they would be perfect. Selden Standard is a great go-to place for a nice meal, and we will continue to go a few times per year.

Very poor service with Fernanda (the woman in the blue dress with dark hair and bangs) at the front desk yesterday evening on August 7th, 2026. We were walk-ins and were made to feel it was a ridiculous ask to even request a table. When I approached the front desk again 30 mins later to see if bar seats or outdoor seats were available, she was incredibly rude and told us we wouldn’t get a table. Overall, her tone was dismissive and did not reflect the inviting, friendly attitude Selden Standard usually has.

Sat at the bar, bartender was awesome…just the right amount of chit chat and mixed a great cocktail plus poured a fantastic wine paired with my delicious dinner. Entire staff to expo and gm were super friendly and engaging. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic dinner here! Every dish we ordered was flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients tasted fresh, and you could tell a lot of care went into every plate. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere made the whole evening even more enjoyable. One of the best dining experiences we've had in Detroit - highly recommend!
