The front desk staff are the best

Was staying for business. About 2 miles from downtown but on a work day and evening that is still about $25 each way. So the casino was huge and nice but that is all this location has to offer. It is about $55 uber ride from airport. But the hotel is pretty and service was nice!

My favorite.. Always a good time. They need to let me hit sometimes.

Over all the experience was extremely good. I recommend everyone to come and enjoy the experience. I feel there is not a lot of winning when you are in the bonuses. I did enjoy myself.

Very poor front desk clerk I stayed here it was like a ghost hotel. Rooms are not adequately check for working appliances and services, minimum staff and security. I was able to go in and out without seeing anyone I felt unsafe. There was no mask available at the entry of the hotel ..the first contact staff were minimalistic and robotic. Ii felt like I was a bother rather than a welcomed customer. ... I've been here recently the hotel in the staff have definitely improved tremendously

Sitting here, waiting at a machine for 40 minutes for the attendant to come waiting to take my cash show…

Walking into MotorCity Hotel was a shock, and not in a good way. The photos online are extremely deceiving. What you see advertised is not what you get. The moment we stepped off the elevator, the entire place gave off old Las Vegas vibes—worn, dated, and neglected. Our first room set the tone. The hallway carpet was worn and dirty, and the room wasn’t any better. The carpet had visible stains, the two chairs in the room were covered in marks as if they had never been cleaned or steamed, and even the leather desk chair had stains. The headboard was stained as well. Dust and dirt were visible around the fixtures and along the floor. It was honestly shocking. We requested another room, hoping for better, but the second room had the same issues. We went back downstairs, and the front desk—who I will say were very kind—gave us a room on the 5th floor. The hallway carpet there looked a little better, but once inside the third room, it was clear the same problems existed. At that point, we asked housekeeping for towels and cleaning supplies so we could wipe down what we could just to get by. To make matters worse, the sheets were worn and had small holes. The hotel’s location didn’t help either. While waiting for our Uber, there were people hanging around outside, including young men openly smoking marijuana. It didn’t feel like a comfortable or safe environment. Unfortunately, because of multiple conferences in town, we weren’t able to switch hotels. The hotel did give us a $50 credit, which was a nice gesture, but it doesn’t make up for having to stay four nights in a place where I’m laying towels on the floor just so I don’t have to touch the carpet. It’s really sad that the website photos don’t reflect the true condition of this hotel. Even locals frown when you mention it. I’m hoping the next few days go by quickly.
