Never, ever, ever stay here. First, they have no way to park by the hotel to get your luggage in, and apparently no luggage carts. Instead park in their parking lot that’s incredibly rough and narrow and try to roll your luggage over horrible asphalt. Then carry up a few steps at the side door. THEN deal with a check-in clerk who doesn’t know where their horrid parking lot is and thinks we parked in the BofA lot instead of their lot adjacent to the rear of the hotel. Then use an elevator without an interior light (that’s fun) to enter a room too people can barely navigate. You can’t even put your shaving kit next to the sink. Our room overlooked a side street and because the have a window a/c unit that uses cheap corrugated plastic to cover the gap in the window ALL of the street sounds, including the drunk bar patrons going home at 2am, enter the room with zero muffling. Then try to sleep in a room with a single layer black curtain woven so loosely that you could almost read with the lights out in the middle of the night. The room is so small you can hardly lay your luggage down to open it. The bed is super uncomfortable. And narrow-full size, I think, and not a queen. And when your partner moves the whole bed moves with it. Seems the owners want to live off the legacy of an old hotel than to create an inviting, relaxing hotel where travelers can sleep and regain their energy. If you book here anyway it’s your fault. We warned you. Don’t stay here.

I would give this place one star, but I hear 2-star reviews are more likely to be read. This place has a VERY LOUD BAR on the first floor that's open until 2am, and they rent out the rooms right above it. If you're looking for a party, this might be the place for you. It's not a place to rest. The first night, around 11p, when I got back and realized my room was directly above the bar, I asked if I could please change rooms. The guy said I'd have to pay the difference for a room elsewhere. I don't blame HIM - he doesn't make the decisions - but they have no business renting out room 211 or anything else over the bar, and there's absolutely no reason I should pay extra to have a room I can actually sleep in. The area with the pool tables - one of the reasons I wanted to stay here - isn't open on Sunday or Monday (my days). There's also very, very limited free parking. I thought the place looked quaint, and was okay taking a single room with a shared bathroom, thinking it would be a nice bathroom. It was not. They were tiny closets, nowhere to hang your clothes or put your shampoo, soap, etc. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, just based on the fact that someone willing to charge $130+ a night for a closet over a bar shouldn't get your money.

Stayed in the John Wayne room years ago, had no AC at the time, think some rooms do now. It is an old historic hotel but pretty run down and was dirty I recall. It was cheap; but then again so is a holiday inn. The bar was fine.

I went on a business trip and stayed the night. The rooms are great slept like a baby. Everybody was nice. It was awesome going to the bar drinking great beers and I have to give MAJOR SHOUT OUT to EVER and CALIN. The work ethic and the way these two bartenders worked together like a well oiled machine. It was impressive. It’s a must stay if your in Flagstaff and have to stay the night in the town

Read carefully and take note of the warnings about noise on the hotel website before booking. If you want to use the laundry be sure to have a pocket full of quarters because the hotel doesn't bother to keep any. Sorry to say 'Historic' = decrepit, noisey and dirty. There are better hotels on Flagstaff.

Very nice place to stay. It’s haunted but I didn’t experience anything but vivid dreams.
