Waterworks Pub

I've gone to this bar forever and liked it, so I brought my boyfriend along for the first time last night, and somehow I got us both banned for LIFE for sneaking 2 shooters in. I get it was a stupid move on my part, but I and my boyfriend (who did LITERALLY NOTHING WRONG) should NOT have been verbally BULLIED by the security staff there. While we both complied to leave the establishment with no problem at all, the bouncers called us "stupid", "drunk", and yelled at my bf to "come back when you've broken up with your girlfriend" all VERY loudly in front of the whole Waterworks crowd. My boyfriend was the responsible driver that night and told security multiple times he didn't have anything on him and yet he got intrusively patted down in front of the whole club crowd. We were both embarrassed and shamed for having a good time and making a small stupid mistake. The security staff that night were ATROCIOUSLY rude and rage-baited us as we COMPLIANTLY walked away. Not to mention there were probably at least a dozen vapes and weed pens in that room.... but we were the ones that they publicly dressed down. I am so appalled at the CHILDISH, demeaning behavior of those security staff.

The place is great . But the DJ needs to update their playlist so much . You need good gay music . Please consider it

I was recommended by multiple people to come to Waterworks, and a conference I was attending at the Capitol held a reception in the evening here. They gave us drink tix and I ordered a dark & stormy and let me tell you when I saw the bartender mixing in TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF RUM I knew it was gonna be a good time. And the place is very nice, good lighting and the DJ was very in tune with the crowd. I am curious why they closed the front door but maybe that was just for our event. Will be back x
