The Ruby Slipper

The Ruby Slipper is Huntsville's only self-identified LGBTQ+ bar — a pop-up venue based at the Campus No. 805 complex (in the former Art Room space at Straight to Ale) that its organizers have been working to grow into a full-time gay bar. Nights typically feature drag, burlesque, and dance events aimed squarely at the queer community, making it the closest thing the city has to a dedicated gay-bar anchor.
