Indy Pride
About This Event
Indy Pride is Indianapolis's June pride, run by the nonprofit Indy Pride. Its roots go back to the first Celebration on the Circle, 35 years before the 2025 edition; protesters interrupted that first one, and a marker on Monument Circle now remembers it.
For 2026 the organization came back under new leadership, executive director Jen Carruthers and board chair Alex Richardson, and moved the festival off Monument Circle. The parade runs Saturday morning, then the festival fills Military Park and White River State Park from noon to 11pm, spilling onto Celebration Plaza and the Indiana State Museum lawn. Sunday is quieter: the Indy Gay Market and Pet Pride in White River State Park.
The 2026 edition ran 13 to 14 June, with Todrick Hall and Crystal Waters among the festival headliners and a Tash Sultana kickoff concert at Everwise Amphitheater. Local TV reported thousands at Military Park; nobody published a count, and we couldn't confirm the 50,000 figure this page used to carry. The backdrop was political: Governor Mike Braun had proclaimed June "Nuclear Family Month", and in 2025 the organization said some corporate sponsors had scaled back. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked; mid-June Saturdays are the pattern.
