Gather 22

Our group of eight visited Gather 22 yesterday for my birthday. I have to give huge props to the restaurant for their outstanding customer service. Our server was attentive and patient with us, even when we took a bit to order or were chatting when she came by. The biggest thing though was what they did to accommodate a mistake and delay with one of our table’s entrees. They went above and beyond to make it right, up to a level which I feel like you don’t see much anymore in the industry. Thank you for your kindness and for making my birthday dinner a great one!

Place is beautiful and service is good but the food has much to be desired. I ordered the steak and eggs and my steak was not seasoned at all and not very flavorful. The best part of my meal was the wine. My friend ordered the turkey sandwich but ended up only eating the side salad. The sandwich was extremely dry and lacked a lot of flavor. So for the food being the way it was the price seem steep.

Really thought the host staff was kind and considerate.

This place remind me of California, it’s literally a hidden gem , cause the building outside does not prepare you for the beautiful place and atmosphere inside . I love the staff , they were very friendly and the food it was great too ! Definitely will come back

Our server Jessica was fabulous! Very accommodating to our tables needs, and just a sweet person!

Wow! I have been here a handful of times and I always enjoyed the food and vibes, this time was completely different! I placed a preorder online, through their website and had it set to pick up at 11:15 A.M. The food wasn't ready until 11:45 A.M. because they didn't even start making it until I arrived to pick it up. Then they forgot to give me a pizza I ordered so I came back in and waited another 15 mins for them to finish making that! The wait staff was all entirely rude and clueless. When asking for a rewards card for coffee they said they were out and it took 3 people to finally figure out they could use stamps on a guest ticket and sign it. Then when I asked for a discount due to waiting forever for my food and all the issues this staff member, whom I'm not sure was even a manager basically said tough luck we can't control that and offered me no apologies and no way to make it right. So if ANYONE is considering doing take out, think again! Indianapolis has so many things to choose from and I certainly won't be back! Also, as a long time Herron Morton resident I'll be sure to spread the word of how awful this service was!

The food was absolutely delicious, which is why it’s so disappointing that the service has been consistently poor. During my first visit, our server behaved strangely throughout the meal. She forgot to ask the kitchen whether I could substitute pork for chicken in my sandwich, and after waiting a very long time, I had to remind her. Then I had to wait even longer before she finally took my order. Our appetizer also took so long that we asked if it had been forgotten, and it turned out it had—it was brought out together with our entrées instead of beforehand. I decided to give the restaurant a second chance because the food was so good, but unfortunately we had another unpleasant experience. My friend ordered a Pinot Grigio but was served sparkling wine instead. When she politely explained that it wasn’t what she had ordered, the server insisted that it was and essentially told her she was wrong. It was an unnecessary and uncomfortable interaction. Once again, our appetizer arrived at the same time as our main courses, and my sandwich was prepared incorrectly. I have worked in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand how stressful the job can be, and I know that mistakes happen, and obviously it wasn’t the waitresses fault. I politely asked if my sandwich could be remade, but the server looked at me as if I had asked for something unreasonable. I am always respectful to restaurant staff, regardless of the service, which is why this was especially disappointing. This restaurant has wonderful food and so much potential, but the lack of professionalism and respect shown to guests has unfortunately overshadowed the experience on both of my visits.

Amazing bartop service. Two female bartenders were so awesome the other night. And the food is absolutely delicious too. Highly recommend. I even called back by phone later that night because I thought I lost something and they tried to help but I had found it while on the call. Super amazing staff all around!
