Long Beach Pride 2027
About This Event
Long Beach Pride, a Southern California institution since 1984, started small. It was one of the region’s first big Pride events, born from activists at a crucial time for queer rights. Now it pulls hundreds of thousands of people every year. The 2026 edition keeps that going: visibility, advocacy, and a lot of celebrating on the Pacific coast.
It’s a huge festival by the water. Multiple stages mean headliners, Latin and hip-hop areas, drag shows, and dance pavilions. The main Pride parade runs down Ocean Boulevard. You’ll find hundreds of vendors, food trucks, and community groups at Marina Green Park, plus a family Pride zone. Afterparties pop up at gay bars all over town.
Long Beach is a more laid-back option than sprawling LA. You can see the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, or wander Belmont Shore. Miles of coastline are good for biking. The city has a long queer history, especially around the Broadway Corridor, where old gay bars and businesses still operate.
Fly into Long Beach Airport (LGB) if you can. LAX and John Wayne (SNA) are also options, a drive away. Stay downtown or by the convention center for an easy walk to the festival. Use the Metro Blue Line, rideshares, or rental bikes to get around. Mid-summer here means reliably warm, sunny weather.
Long Beach Pride 2026 is classic SoCal Pride: ocean air, big entertainment, history, and an inclusive feel that covers all kinds of queer identity. It’s a beach town with big-city energy, all in one weekend.
