please fix the Western Union

Terrible today. They need NEW management. It was out of control today. Scary. Some people cannot take the stress this causes. Please DO Something. The cash registers were also out of order.

I started ordering online from this store since the wait times at the checkouts have gotten out of hand... I placed an order recently which didn't arrive. The courier accepted the order, took the tip, but then didn't deliver any of the groceries. I got a notification the order had been delivered but nothing. I have been told twice by customer support that I would receive a refund for this but each time the refund gets blocked by a different department. I will now have to go try to get my bank to recovery the money back as I spent a lot of money on that order. I would not recommend this store at all. EDIT: the reply to my review said I should contact customer support who said the store manager had denied the refund request. I also received an email from the escalations team saying that the refund request was denied and when I asked why I was ignored. Sent two follow up emails and both have been ignored.

For a *smaller* Vons than I'm accustomed to shopping in ... this near-the-#LBport Vons still manages to pack-a-lot in a smaller space. Lots of diversity on this Vons' shelves with the usual #SavingDealsLikeItsASteal. So glad I live a mere half-block away in my new Digs 😺

Freshest fruit around. Don't do fastfood meals, they have great lunch and dinner prepared meals here.

VONS has a Fresh Pass subscription that costs $99 a year. One of the perks is maybe once a month they give away a free item, it’s never a regular deal. They send an email on Saturday mornings, you can clip the offer, and you can get the free item during opening hours on Saturday or Sunday. Here’s the problem, more times than not, they don’t have the item in stock, and whichever manager seems to be working, ever knows anything about the item, the offer, or why they don’t have it in stock, or anything. The store director never seems to be on duty those days either. They have a “Special” VIP phone number you can call, but unfortunately ALBERTSONS/VONS outsources their special VIP number outside of the USA. At that number they never seem to care enough to pass along your complaint to the store director. You would think that on the weekends when they’re having the Freebie Giveaway - they would make sure they’re stocked with the item, and all managers and employees working Saturday & Sunday would be informed about the item, where it’s located in the store, and have a plan to give a similar item of equal quality to give if they’re out of the item, or even better a RAIN CHECK for when the item is back in stock. After all we have paid almost $100 for this subscription and in this day & age of outrageous prices with everything, they should want to provide their subscription customers with that free item. And don’t even get me started on them abolishing the Self Checkout and having to wait inline for a cashier for 20+ minutes for ONE or TWO items…

Great food items

I felt like I was being followed by workers. I was almost to scared to go out the front due to aggressive people out front hanging out.

One of the worst places to shop in the city of Long Beach. I don't kmow if they are treated poorly, but the employees do not want to be there and the lines are atrocious. The ice-cream I was going to buy literally started melting in line. 0 stars is probably the most accurate but not an option.

May 18, 2026 I used to like this store a lot, but recently it has become a terrible place to shop at. The entrance area looks dirty [the inside is not though], and so does the automatic door. After they got rid of self checkout kiosks, the lines are often long, and the cashiers don't look happy helping customers. Glad to report that the produce department is still doing well- looking clean and organized. Other departments not so much: I got four packs of Lucerne Swiss cheese today, turns out they all expired 16 days ago. In my previous trip, a bag of sandwich bread I bought with three days left before expiration date had a few moldy spots. I live nearby and I walked right back to the store. They did let me exchange it, but no one sits at the customer service desk anymore, so I ended up standing in a long checkout line to do the exchange. Not sure how soon I'll stop shopping here altogether.

I Iive down the street and stopped going to this store cause the lines to checkout are outrageous!! This problem started recently but it’s been so annoying having to wait 30min to 1hr. nope not going there anymore

I could walk one block to get my groceries here but I choose to drive all the way across town to avoid it. The staff are all fantastic. But every time I walk in the lines are into the aisles so I immediately turn around and walk out. Morning, nighttime, middle of the day. Doesn't matter. They closed the self checkout and are pinching pennies on the checkout lanes. I'll come back when the self checkout is reopened and you staff the check out lanes appropriately.

Solid store, well stocked and helpful staff. It's just annoying that so much product is on lockdown. Sadly self checkout is gone now, always lines.
