Big Cypress Lodge

We decided to stay at the Big Cypress Lodge on our first night of our trip to Jonesboro. We read the reviews and looked at location and decided to give it a try. Glad we did!!! The hotel check in was great. Very friendly staff and made us aware of all the hotels offerings and things to do on site. We went and visited the Bass Pro Shop and all the cools sites with fish and wildlife mounts plus all the store has to offer for wildlife and outdoors enthusiasts. Then we went up to see the observation deck and lookout which was also fun and definitely high up there and with the glass floor was challenging at first. We decided to eat at the Whalburger and it was very good food and price. We would definitely go back. On site parking and or use the valet services. Either way fast and easy. My daughter really enjoyed looking at the taxidermy all around the facilities plus the snacks they provided as part of the room amenities. Stay there you won't regret it.

Coolest lodging we've ever experienced. Staff were very nice. Clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The entire place feels neglected and poorly maintained. The room was extremely dirty from the moment we walked in. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks—filthy with visible dirt and debris everywhere. The bed sheets felt gross and unclean, like they hadn’t been properly washed. The whole room just felt uncomfortable and off. To make things worse, I spotted a few spiders crawling around, which completely killed any chance of relaxing. The balcony was even worse than the room. The furniture was dirty and covered in spider webs. It was clear no one had cleaned out there in a long time. While the attached Bass Pro Shop is nice to walk through, that’s about the only positive thing here. The hotel itself is not well-maintained or clean at all. For what they charge, it’s not worth it. There are way better options near downtown Memphis that cost less and offer much higher quality and cleanliness. Save your money and stay somewhere else. I definitely won’t be back.

They gave me the room dirty; we had to say that the room hadn't been cleaned. I waited for them to clean it, and they gave it back to me dirty. They didn't clean the floor; the sink had toothpaste and the other person's hair on it. It disgusted me. Who knows if they changed the sheets and towels?

I liked the hotel. It was cool how it's situated inside the store. I payed for Smores to discover there was no way to roast them as all fires were out & no one around I asked for my $5 back but the cashier said he couldn't but he'd put a note when we check out. This never happened. Luckily it wasn't $500. I think the parking was well over priced considering the cost of the room, this I think should be in with the rate & not extra. I wouldn't visit again but over all a pleasant stay.

Restaurant at top was a little pricey but good. There's also a Wahlbergers for room service which burgers was pretty good but also pricey since you have to order fries if you want as a side. There are no meal deals.

As a continued review of Uncle Bucks and the lodge. We checked in at 6:30 fairly quickly by a nice lady. The room was pleasant at first... The story now! After unpacking we visited the 3rd floor bar and ordered 2 drinks. The lady said hold on at first, I have to get some glasses. After about 15 mins she returned with warm Miller light and offered me a free Coors in its place which was a nice gesture. We had the drinks and went to pay the tab to head over to the sky lift and she still had both the beers on the $22 tab, when asked she said they are cold now and gave me one, again this was leaving time and family waiting on me now?!? We waited in line for the lift and went up. Second observation deck had the first glass panel busted out and caution tape all around, not the best site at that height! Ride down took around 21 mins due to lines and only one lift working and operating at the time. Went back to the room after a huge let down in the bowling alley and diner. Filled tub and turned on Jets.... Nice! After laying in bed an hour family was awaken by an aweful noise that had wife and I scrambling for a few minutes before realizing the tub had come back on without water and was readying itself for takeoff, back to bed! $400 dollars later we are headed to the zoo and redeem this whole trip!!!! Update, the $100 incidental charge has now been charged twice, why??? Update: Incidental has been refunded but never contacted by customer service on any of the issues.Dont waste your money!

We are judges at memphis in may bbq. And Monday had to cancel.on Tuesday. Hotel did not respond.to email or.refund.request. and charge.for.4.days. ..they lost all business to me at an bass pro. Do no make.resavation here

A little bit out of the way, but worth it.

This is an amazing place. We have enjoyed every minute. The rooms are beautiful. They are clean and comfortable and awesome. Everything here is an absolute blast. The pyramid and observation deck restaurant is a must. The glass elevator is amazing. We highly recommend staying here. A once in a lifetime experience
