Well now, let me tell y’all—this was by and far the finest hotel experience I’ve ever had, bless it! From the moment I rolled up, I was greeted with the kindest, most heartwarming welcome from sweet Charles over at valet. That gentleman not only made me feel right at home, but he also helped me wrangle my two spirited bird dogs all the way up to the room. Now if that ain't Southern hospitality, I don’t know what is! Big thank you to Charles and Joseph—they sure do know how to treat a guest right. Throughout my stay, every single staff member made me feel like I was part of the family. Miss Michelle in the lobby lounge kept things lively with her cheerful spirit and delightful conversation—such a joy! And Lord have mercy, let’s talk about Duck Master Kenon Walker. That man is pure magic—a whimsical soul with a heart full of Memphis pride and a storyteller's gift. If you get the chance, pull up a chair and chat with him about history, love, and all things Memphis. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget. Y’all, don’t go overlooking this gem—it’s not just a hotel, it’s the very heart and soul of Memphis wrapped in Southern charm. I’ll be back, no doubt about it!
This hotel is terrible. When I checked in the room was dirty. There was hair in the bed, the tub was filled with water, and fecal matter in the toilet. I had to ask for the room to be cleaned because it couldn't have been cleaned prior to my check-in. In addition to the unclean and unsanitary conditions of the room, there was a ROACH in my room. So again I had to file a complaint with the front desk after finding the roach. They said they would give me a new room and call me when it was ready. I never got the call so after about 6 hours I went back to the front desk to check on the status of my new room only to be told this is the first time they heard about the issues with my room and they can't move me but will have someone call me. Finally, 3 additional hours later I was moved to a new room. I will say that most of the concierge staff (especially the ladies working the night shift on 6/16) were very nice but I will never stay here again.
