Moxy Memphis Downtown

I stopped here while looking for a trendy spot to stay near the city center, but it was an incredibly frustrating experience. The music in the lobby was so loud that it felt more like a crowded nightclub than a hotel, making it impossible to hear the person at the front desk or just relax after a long day of travel. My room was tiny with barely any space to open a suitcase, and the mattress felt as hard as a rock. On top of that, there was a strange chemical smell in the hallways, and the staff seemed way too busy chatting with each other to help me with directions. I ended up leaving and finding a different place to sleep because it was just way too noisy and uncomfortable.

We loved it here! It’s clean and well maintained and staff are friendly! We’re definitely coming back

Clean rooms and good service!

Everyone was very friendly. The Moxy is always a cool place to stay. The rooms are stylish and our room was squeaky clean. Well done to Shannon H for a great job.

After a long drive, The valet parking attendant was friendly, quick and efficient. Unfortunately the reception staff were not as friendly or helpful as we had hoped, which was a disappointing first impression. The location is excellent. A short walk to the restaurants and clubs on Beale Street. Not very far to drive to the other sights in Memphis. The hotel itself, however, had fun and a quirky vibe. In the communal/ reception area, we enjoyed the pinball machines, games and record player, which gave the property a unique character. The room was also quirky and the bed was very comfortable, which meant a good night's sleep. Overall, the hotel has plenty of personality and some great features, but a warmer welcome from the reception team would have improved our experience.

Hotel was good. Nice people. Parking/Valet service (for the car) was terrible. Don't use it. Park your car somewhere else.

My best friend and I brought our teens to Memphis to see a concert at the Cannon Center. I learned the hard way the last trip by renting an Airbnb and parking on the street. Long story short, my car was stolen and it was a huge ordeal. We decided on a hotel and valet parking where the car would be safe in a locked fence! We are so happy we chose the Moxy. Our children are lovers of music, and were thrilled that they could play the available instruments and large vinyl collection. There was also free pinball and many games. They had a blast! The location is right next to Main Street and was a nice walk to the venue and restaurants. Jason and Diamond gave us excellent customer service as well. This will be my go-to place in Memphis!

This place is pretty cool! We came during two big events and still managed to get a room without booking ahead. You can check out guitars, and they have a couple free pinball machines in the lobby/bar area. They gave us 2 drink tokens upon check-in, which we thought was a nice touch. The room was pretty small but comfortable. I will say, we had to unplug the tv to get it to stay off. It turned back on automatically after turning it off several times, and the remote apparently needed batteries. Didn't realize until late, so we didn't address it with staff. Overall, it was a great stay! Would definitely stay again!

Great location in downtown. When the trolleys are back up, there is a stop right out the door. Near the river, and just blocks from Beale St.

This was our first stay and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel was in a prime location yet it was quiet in evening. Everyone had a helpful and up beat personality from the valet service to the front desk support. You receive two tokens for two free drinks from a specific menu. There’s games, lounging areas indoors and out, as well as pinball machines. The room’ was small but cozy and simple. A huge bonus for me was they had old fashioned light bulbs which means no blue light bright bulbs! 🙌🏻

Nice trendy spot. In walking distance of The Main Street Mall.
