Ghost Light Inn

Great boutique experience right in the heart of New Hope. The rooms were beautiful, the service attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend.

My wife booked a room back in February for our anniversary. Unfortunately, something came up and we aren’t able to make it. We tried to cancel our reservation and were understanding of their cancellation policy, but they only offered a credit for January or February, which we also can’t use. When I called, the manager was rude, showed very poor customer service and hospitality skills, and hung up on me. Terrible experience overall. The ownership should really take a close look at their staff.

Stayed for one night, the room was beautiful, the view was beautiful, and the front desk concierge was amazing. He even ran out and blocked a parking spot to save it for me because the lot was almost full, top level service! Stella's food and ambiance was right in line with the whole experience.

The Ghost Light Inn is locatedin a perfect location along the scenic Delaware River. Walk around historic New Hope with its great eateries and niche shops or cross the river to the equally beautiful historic town of Lambertville, NJ. The Ghost Light Inn offers nicely sized rooms with excellent bedding and full room amenities. The complimentary continental breakfast is upscale offering more than most. The views of the river and NJ are beautiful at night.The Inn shares a pay to park lot with The Bucks County Playhouse. We stayed mid-week. The price was just over $500 / night including parking, quite high in my opinion. We enjoyed the stay but question the value to us. Our perceived value was the only drawback and reason we rated it a 4 star. However, service, rooms and location we rated 5 stars.

Stayed at The Ghostlight Inn on Tuesday evening paying $470 dollars for one night. The hotel itself is clean and well located, however the service at front desk/concierge was marginal at best. I found the front desk personnel during our visit to be really lackluster in his response to inquiries about restaurants in the town and just generally uninterested in our questions. For a 5 star hotel charging New York City prices it was disappointing. Also the complementary continental breakfast served Sarah Lee bagels and bread that I could buy at Giant rather than local artisan bakery pastries. So overall mediocre don’t waste your money. you can still dine at Stella’s restaurant connected to the hotel without paying for the overpriced hotel room.

Our stay at Ghost Inn was awful. The price is outrageously high for what you actually get. They advertise a continental breakfast, but what they served doesn’t come close. It’s a 7 eleven style breakfast with cold boiled eggs and a rock hard croissant. For the cost of one night, you should expect at least a decent hot breakfast. Save your money guys this place is absolutely not worth it.

An incredible visit and amazing staff! My husband and I brought our well trained but very shy terrier and all 3 of us had the best time. We dined outside at Stella. They took great care of us and the food was the best we had in town. The pup portion was huge lol. In the morning you can go down and catch sunrise, enjoy breakfast in a chair and feed the ducks on the Delaware. One note: we stayed in August and it was amazing (60° nights and 85° days) but it’s the woods/on the river so it’s buggy outside at night. Use or bring bug spray for evenings!

The seating area by the river is really beautiful

This is a beautifully situation inn, right in the Delaware River with an outdoor walkway below and chairs to hang out on and enjoy the scenery and water. The rooms are clean and attractive, staff friendly, location in New Hope perfect. The only thing missing is small balconies you can sit out on from your room.

Great property 👌 Everyone we had contact with was super nice and helpful. Shout out to Courtney who kept us entertained during breakfast with places to visit. We will definitely return.

We recently stayed overnight for my wife’s birthday. We have stayed in New Hope and Lambertville many times, but in season the Ghost Light Inn is usually booked. Overall it’s a very nice hotel, in a nice location. If my review sounds less than excited it’s because when I pay that much for a room, my expectations are very high. When checking in I inquired about the hours for the complimentary breakfast. I was told that’s only Monday through Friday which was not clear on the website. Considering they don’t even serve breakfast in their restaurant, and don’t offer room service at all, this was a major negative. They must get a lot of complaints about this because there was a sign in the room indicating no continental breakfast on weekends. They should have posted that exact sign on their website! The room itself was nice, but small. On the plus side, The bed and linens were very comfortable. The Juliet balcony is actually a nice full length glass door that opens all the way, and the views are nice, but it’s not a true Juliet balcony. The bathroom was small, but also very nice. I called the front desk to inquire about the complimentary gourmet coffee that they advertised only to be told that they no longer offered it and their website and literature in the room, were not up to date. We did use their coffee maker only to find out at checkout that the bottled Nestles water was actually the “smart water” on the minibar menu at $6 per bottle! If this had been clear I would have still consumed them, but trying to pass a minor brand as “smart water” is unacceptable. I acknowledge that some of my comments could be interpreted as I was looking for freebies, but that’s not the case. I just expect properties to perform to the level they advertise. I also don’t appreciate being nickeled and dimed at luxury room rates. Instead of impressing me by going above and beyond, overall they performed below expectation. With so many wonderful options in the area, we won’t be returning. I hope that this review alerts others, who like me have high expectations, to stay elsewhere.

What a lovely getaway location! Regardless if it is for a night or a weekend. Location is in a heart of New Hope center with lovely view of Delaware river. When opening curtains in the morning ducks were in the river to greet me. Restaurant is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a thoughtful luxury feel
