Nektar Wine Bar

Had a wonderful dinner here. Our waiter Anthony was fantastic. We enjoyed the wine he recommended as well as dinner suggestions. The lobster BLT Sliders were outstanding. We will definitely be back.

We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Nektar and the experience was absolutely wonderful! Food was incredible, service was great and they were very accommodating and responsive to emails throughout the entire process. It was really fun choosing our menu and paired beverages. Highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with my experience here. While our server was excellent, other staff were rude and unhelpful. 10 menu items were unavailable, and when I came with my 4-month-old son in a Doona stroller, I was asked to put him under the table—which is completely unsafe and unacceptable. When I asked about my drink, another staff member responded with a nasty look and told me to ask my server. The heater was on full, it was like 80 degrees inside and when we asked to turn it down the response was, can’t do. As someone who has worked in customer service, I’ve never experienced such poor treatment. I hope management addresses this, as no customer—especially with a baby—should be treated this way.

Daniil was the best server I had since I’ve been to new Hope I’m visiting. He recommended to me the best wine and was very sweet and caring. I’m from New York and haven’t had service this great in a couple of years.

Perfect place

This was a frustrating experience, especially given the price point. I came to Nektar with a group of girlfriends and we ordered 11 small plates. The food looked pretty when it came out, but every single dish was cold and lacked flavor. For a meal that ended up being quite expensive, it was really disappointing to feel like none of the dishes delivered on taste or quality. When we first arrived, we were left standing at the front for a while without acknowledgment. The one bright spot of the night was our server, Brigid, who was kind, attentive, and did her best to improve our experience despite everything else falling short.

If you want a special night out with outstanding cocktails, food, atmosphere and views of a local hidden gem town, look no further.

When preparing thai curry, the vegetables are sautéed or microwaved prior to entering the rich and spicy coconut sauce, likewise a fish is grilled or broiled before entering its coconut bath. Scallops most certainly need to be prepared seared as it is usually prepared with its butter garlic and Thai herb basting. You don’t just chop up a diver scallop and throw it in a sauce and let it come to temp like some trim piece of flounder or pollock. Respect the ingredients, they deserved better…honor the culture from which you appropriate.

Extensive selection of liquors, and most of the small-plate specials are tasty (but avoid the meatball sliders, which are pedestrian). Great location right on the canal. Quite expensive, but worth it.

What a delightful experience! We were in New Hope for the evening for my husband's birthday and chose Nektar as a date night spot. The food was all delicious, fun, and unique. Our favorites were the honey bruschetta, truffle ravioli, and flatbread. Our server, Gigi, was very sweet. I loved my champagne flight (pricey, but delicious!). We would absolutely come back!
