Many people's first lesbian bar. First came here at 21 in 2008. It's interesting to go as I approach middle age just to see how the next generation interacts with the space. Usually a good place to hang with friends or people watch solo. Happy hour specials exist if you go there early enough and seasonally they have parties

This was the slowest bartender alive, the vibes were okay, bathrooms were dirty

Mirroring the experiences of other Black & Brown reviewers, cubbyhole did not feel inclusive in any capacity. Rude comments were made to me and my girlfriend almost instantly and we ended up leaving 10 minutes after we arrived. The judgment was nearly palpable. Even other patrons were snapping at us that it “must be our first time here if we don’t know how to act at a bar.” Just because we were shuffling around a very crowded space and trying to find a place to stand that was out of the way. Actually, growing up in a conservative household, it was. Good, strong drinks though. I was the only Black woman in there for a reason. Owners could definitely work on fostering a more diverse and inclusive space.
