Newark Pride

Newark Pride is a week of events across New Jersey's largest city, run by the nonprofit Newark Pride, Inc. It ends with a parade and festival on the Sunday. The 2026 edition was the 21st.

It ran from 13 to 19 July 2026 under the theme "Our Bodies. Our Stories. Our POWER!" Events included an opening reception, a ballroom night and the Sakia Gunn Day of Service, named after the 15-year-old Newark lesbian killed in 2003. The parade and festival were on Sunday 19 July, with performers on the Rodney Gilbert Mainstage. Listings disagreed on the festival site, with some naming NJPAC and others Mulberry Commons. The organisers counted 163 events and 48 LGBTQ+ partner organisations across the week.

The 2027 dates haven't been announced.
