The Empress of Little Rock

The place was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The home furnishings were antique’s and super cool to look at!! The bed was super comfortable & the shower was nice & hot!! However, since we checked in on a Monday there was no breakfast provided. Not even a muffin. The coffee in room was delicious & loved the Raw sugar. We would go back but probably make it a weekend.

My boyfriend and I found this lovely B&B for our birthday trip. We live one city over (about 16-20 minutes away). We have been on many birthday trips, but this one was the closest to home and by far, our favorite place to stay. We stayed in the Majestic Suite in the carriage house and it was amazing. The bed and pillows were clean, fresh, and comfortable. There was a glass bottle of fresh water in our room. Coffee makers, cups and supplies were provided. The spa tub was nice and clean. The water was hot and the jets felt amazing. Big, fluffy robes are provided for after your spa tub soak. In the main house, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Each room is a wonderful experience and glance into what life was like back in the 18 and 1900s. James, the manager is wonderful and spent some time talking with us. His dog, Bernard, is the sweet baby ever! Over all one of our favorite place to spend time during our stay was on the face to face glider in the front yard. 100% recommend this B&B!

Beautiful, well-kept inn with stunning Victorian furnishings and a lovely, peaceful environment. There are many comfortable places to sit and relax both indoors and outside. James, the proprietor, was warm, kind, and very helpful. That said, amenities were minimal. Aside from a coffee maker in the room and tea in the hallway, there was no housekeeping during our four-night stay—no trash removal, bed making, refilled water bottles, or towel changes. We ended up taking out our own garbage. While we knew breakfast wasn’t included, for a property of this beauty and price point, we expected a bit more—perhaps light continental offerings or small touches like afternoon wine. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend the inn, but it would be even better with improved amenities and service.

We stayed in the Ernest Hemingway Room while heading home from Hot Springs, and it was such a wonderful experience 🏡✨ The property itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of charm. Our room was incredibly comfortable and felt so luxurious, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day of travel 🛏️💛 The location is also very convenient, just a short distance from downtown and several great restaurants 🍽️🚶‍♂️ We ended up driving because the weather turned unusually cold during our visit ❄️🚗, but under normal conditions it would have been an easy and pleasant walk. Overall, it was a cozy, elegant, and memorable stay. We would happily return again! 😊🌟

James, who runs the place is so friendly and helpful. The building and furnishings are just amazing!

My husband and I had a lovely stay! The Hornibrook Mansion (The Empress) is amazing!! The home is beautifully furnished and truly takes one back to another time. I loved reading my book in the library and wandering the common rooms downstairs. Our room upstairs also had a great soaking tub that was perfect for a bubble bath! The king size bed felt luxurious, and the gas fireplace was so cozy. Definitely want to return!

Location was safe & the stay was perfect! My wife loved the place & it’s an extremely unique stay!!

Unfortunately, I was greeted rudely when I entered the front door. I'm in town for 2 weeks, wanted a little more info and was told to look it up on the internet. The place is beautiful however, the gentleman I spoke with did not give a welcoming presence which made my decision to not stay there much easier. Had he been more customer service friendly, I would have stayed there for my 2 weeks here. It's unfortunate that places have employees/owners like this.
