Oakland Pride
About This Event
Oakland Pride is the East Bay's main Pride parade and festival. It was revived in 2010 after East Bay Pride ended in 2003, and for years it was held on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend in September.
That changed in 2026. The Oakland Pride board dissolved in February 2026 amid reports of unpaid vendors, and the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center took over the event. The 2026 edition was held on Sunday 16 August: a free parade through downtown at 10:00, then a ticketed festival from 12:00 to 18:00 at Frank Ogawa Plaza (14th Street and Broadway). The Bay Area Reporter described parade turnout as a record.
The 2027 date had not been announced at the time of writing. Check oaklandpride.org and the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center for updates.
