Oceano Hotel & Spa Half Moon Bay Harbor
Visitors praise the hotel's convenient location across from the harbor with nice views and easy access to restaurants and attractions. However, some guests found the hotel to be in need of maintenance, describing it as feeling grimy with peeling paint and worn carpets, while others noted noise from the marina or traffic.

Comfortably elegant hotel directly across for the harbor. Walking to many fine restaurants and bars. Rooms well appointed.
I’m shocked this is considered a 4 star hotel. Feels more like a motel.. felt grimy. Dust of ceiling lights, peeling on sink, towel holder missing, I mean. And the carpet.. why are they still doing nasty carpets?
Some small things need repai. Beds are firm. Ocean view includes traffic noise and sounds of the marina. Good view of the water and marina, staff have been super amazing. Still a very pleasant morning to start it off with a cup of coffee on the balcony. We were even given a serenade from the sea lions just before bedtime.
My goal is to help you decide whether this place is worth your time. Read this review carefully, and you'll be able to determine if it's the right fit for you. Firstly, there is no breakfast like others and you have to spend minimum of $50 for breakfast if you want to go a restaurant in this area. Second, rooms are super clean and staff are very polite to help in any ways. Third, in compare to other inns around, they have the best prices, however, DON'T GO THROUGH EXPEDIA, they cahrge your more than $100 a night even on week days. Enjoy your stay.
It's recommended for families. Enjoy the Pacific Ocean. Noise of conversation can be heard close to door.
