Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs

Beautiful hotel, pools, extremely relaxing and fun vibe with the live DJs on the weekend and it happened to be Palms Springs Restaurant week and the food, especially the smashburger and fries, at King's Highway was delicious -- but it was the staff's warm and hospitable embrace that was most memorable. Even before I arrived Erin helped me with check-in questions and I knew it was going to be a great stay and beyond. Erin was so friendly and fun, full of suggestions and was always eager to accommodate, though we were already happy campers with how awesome the whole place was. I had an amazing stay at the Ace Hotel Palm Springs and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing desert getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with manicured landscaping that made the entire property feel like a private oasis. Our room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with the hotel's signature cool bohemian aesthetic. There were four of us staying in one room with a giant king bed and two double beds, and we never once felt crowded. The layout was roomy and comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. One thing that really impressed us was how well insulated the rooms were. Even though the pool area stayed open and active until 2 AM, we couldn't hear the music or any noise from inside our room. The pool scene was one of the highlights of our stay. It had a lively, social atmosphere that felt like a party where everyone was invited, yet it never felt overcrowded. There were plenty of lounge chairs available, and guests could also rent semi-private cabanas and couches complete with cooling mist overhead—perfect for escaping the desert heat. The pool itself was sparkling clean, and the hotel provided a great selection of floats and pool accessories, with enough for everyone to enjoy. The cocktails were another standout: strong, refreshing, and exactly what you want while lounging poolside. Overall, the Ace Hotel Palm Springs perfectly balances fun and relaxation. Great staff, beautiful grounds, stylish and spacious rooms, an incredible pool atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities made this one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I can't wait to come back.

Ace is the best and Erin at the front desk is a star.

Had a lovely experience at the ACE Palm Springs! ERIN at the front desk was such a delight! She welcomed us to stay by the pool after checkout which made our last day so enjoyable.

Very poor sound proofing between rooms. Power outage when we were there. Not the hotels fault but they sent kitchen and bar staff home without letting guests know. Offered no help to work round the issue. Would not even help us order Uber eats. Had to argue for a discount. Caught ear infection after swimming in the pool. Had we stayed in a homeless shelter we would have been fed and been treated with more respect and kindness. Avoid this place at all costs. Corporate response was that issues had all been resolved. We paid for food on credit card that did not arrive. At check out assured this would be refunded. It has not been and management say it was not on the account. It was not because it was not charged to the room but paid for on a card. Whether this is duplicity or stupidity it is unacceptable and appears to be dishonest. Trying to report this to head office email given does not work.

TLDR: Kids no longer allowed at the main pool and hot tub. Kids pool only for families. We have been coming to this property since it opened. Stayed here for a wedding in 2010, multiple times to visit area art events pre-kiddo, and it was still our go-to after we had our daughter. BUT the property is now under new management, and they have made a significant change that will impact whether we choose this property in the future. Like many OG Ace Hotel guests, we had kids, but we kept coming back because this hotel was the perfect mix of vibe and value. Over the past 5 years, we have brought our daughter multiple times and chilled with other like-minded families, couples, and solo travelers. Kids never seemed to get in the way of anyone's experience (except maybe the parents who have to manage them 24/7 on their "vacation). Coming back to be told you can't use the main pool and the hot tub was shocking. It's not on the website; it's not part of the booking. It's just a huge SURPRISE at check-in. Is the other pool nice? Yes. Do you feel like you are relegated to a lonely, unstaffed part of the property? Also yes. I hope enough people will chime in that management reconsiders this silly policy. We grew up and had families, all the while visiting the Ace in Palm Springs. Don't lose us now.

We had a very pleasant stay at the ACE Hotel Palm Springs overall. The location is excellent, and there is ample parking, making arrival very convenient. The fitness center with its modern, new equipment is particularly noteworthy. The pool area is also beautifully designed and inviting. However, there is one important point to be aware of: A DJ plays by the pool every day from 12 pm to 7 pm. The music, and especially the bass, is so loud that it can be clearly heard even with the room door closed. Those planning a quiet, relaxing vacation or traveling with family and children should take this into account when booking. We also really enjoyed the adjacent restaurant and café. This meant we had everything we needed right there and hardly had to leave the hotel grounds. Overall, a nice hotel with good facilities and a great atmosphere – but only partially recommended for those seeking peace and quiet.

You stay for the ambiance of the ace, not really much else. Service has been declining for years and that trend hasn't changed. Simple example, stopped by the front desk around 630pm asked for more towels for the room please, at 9pm I had to shower for dinner and dry myself with a couple of wash cloths because those towels never showed. That is about as basic a request as it gets and a motel 6 can fulfill that request promptly but not the ace I guess, at this price point( at any price point really) this is unacceptable. Checked in and went out back for lunch, no attendant back there to seat people on patio, stood around for 5 minutes and finally found the inside hostess and she was kind enough to come seat us and notify someone to come take our order. Pool side service was beyond slow but it was a packed holiday weekend so that is what it is, but alot of people were waiting over an hour for their drinks, if they ever came. There are other things but we hadn't stayed at the Ace in over two years because of this type of stuff and probably won't be back for another few years, had a great time but there are a lot of hotels at $400+ a night where I can have a great time and not have to scrounge for towels because the property can't be bothered to take care of guests

They recently converted the main pool to adults-only, and it’s been a great change. Families and children can still use the second pool, while the main pool now has a more relaxed atmosphere for couples and groups looking for a quieter experience. Service has consistently been great, and while food and drinks are on the expensive side, the convenience of poolside service makes it worthwhile if you don’t want to leave your lounge chair. We’ve been coming here for years, and there’s always plenty of staff around keeping the grounds looking great and helping with anything you need.
