This boutique property has an incredibly unique, laid-back vibe that makes it a great alternative to the larger resorts. The setting is intimate and visually charming, providing a cozy mid-century desert feel that makes it easy to unwind by the pool. It feels like a private, hidden gem where you can truly escape the crowds. It gets a solid four stars for its distinctive character and relaxing atmosphere, though the amenities and property footprint are on the simpler, more minimalist side. It is perfect if you want a quiet, no-fuss boutique stay, but it lacks some of the robust, full-service features you might find at a traditional luxury hotel.

Please read the entire review and consider yourself warned about this scam of a place. Came here on a last minute anniversary trip. It was one of the last places available during Valentine’s Day weekend, as well as Modernism Week and president’s day weekend—and now I see why. Within 3 minutes of getting into our room, my husband killed a giant cockroach in the restroom; that was strike 1 for me. Strike 2 was looking around the room and finding it extremely worn down and not deeply cleaned (see photos). Strike 3 was when another customer told us to “get out while we can” on Valentine’s Day, as her shower was flooded with sewage water. While our room did not flood, it did reek of sewage as the hotel was having a major plumbing issue. Everything was completely booked up in the area since it was a busy weekend. If we didn’t have activities planned I would have drove back home to LA. The manager apologized and told us many times she would refund us, but never upheld her end of the refund process with Booking.com. She even lied to our bank when we tried to dispute the charge. What a scammer!

⭐️⭐️ Great stay—until Marlene got involved. Up until checkout, the staff was friendly and flexible. I extended my stay daily and was always allowed until 12 PM without issue. Then on my last day, I was suddenly told I’d be charged for a “late checkout” before 12 PM. That inconsistency says a lot. Marlene escalated the situation unnecessarily, labeled my tone as “hostile,” and made a false claim that I slammed a door in her face—something that never happened. She also said housekeeping needed access, which doesn’t add up since no one serviced or even offered to service the room during my entire stay. Before leaving, I tried to resolve things calmly in the office. She was apologetic—until I challenged the false claim. Then she doubled down. Multiple interruptions while I was packing only added to the stress. This wasn’t about policy—it felt like a power trip. It’s a shame, because I actually liked the property and the other wonderfully friendly and kind staff both in the office and outside of the office, were amazing. First impressions are everything but the final impression is what leads that taste in your mouth and unfortunately one interaction can define the entire experience—and in this case, it did.

recently stayed at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. As soon as I entered the room, there was a strong, unpleasant odor that made it difficult to feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition — it was dirty and clearly not properly cleaned before my arrival. There was no hand soap provided, and even more concerning, there were no towels available at all. Basic hygiene essentials should never be missing in any hotel stay. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and missing essentials made this stay extremely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made in housekeeping and room preparation.

Unlike the big cheap chain hotels this place has some soul, albeit threadbare. The good: quiet, clean, comfy bed, pleasant remote staff, units have a kitchen, good hot water, pool and hot tub were nice, grapefruit tree made a nice pre-breakfast. The bad: nowhere to get food or drinks super close, its a bit shabby & cheaply built w/ threadbare non matching towels, hollow doors, super low showerheads, etc. But if you've got tolerance for that this might be the best cheapest option around. I'm giving it 4 stars considering its low price for the area
