Dinah Shore Weekend (Palm Springs)
About This Event
The Dinah, a five-day party for queer women, takes over Palm Springs with pool parties, club nights, and concerts. It started in 1991 as a one-night bash thrown by Mariah Hanson's Club Skirts, coinciding with the LPGA's Dinah Shore golf tournament in nearby Rancho Mirage. The tournament's long gone - it moved to Texas and dropped Shore's name - but the party's kept the name.
If you haven't been in years, two things are different now. The festival shifted from spring to fall in 2022, so it's no longer a March or April weekend thing. And in February 2026, Hanson sold it to her operations manager, Bella Barkow, and longtime emcee, Rose Garcia - they're now running it as BellaRose Productions.
Most events are ticketed: daytime pool parties at the host hotels, like the Hilton Palm Springs and Hotel Zoso, and headline night parties. Rooms at these hotels go fast, so book early. Late September in Palm Springs can still mean 100°F temps, so plan your day around the pool.
The 35th edition, which ran from 30 September to 4 October 2026, featured Hayley Kiyoko headlining Saturday night, with Da Brat, The Aces, and Sasha Keable also on the bill. Attendance was upwards of 10,000, according to GO Magazine.
The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
