Traveler’s Rest offers a home away from home to Pittsburgh visitors. On a quieter street in South Side, TR is at a prime location for cyclists, public commuters, tourists, sports fans, college students and their families. As a woman, safety is my top priority, and I truly felt safe from early morning to night. Once an office for a wrought iron pipe company, this stay offers a unique experience. The shared spaces are extraordinary beautiful. Bed and bathrooms are impeccably clean, well-kept and comfortable. There is something magical about the place—I slept like a baby despite the jet lag! Sustainability is important to TR, which I appreciate. Sense of community is strong. The coffee is beautifully brewed (shout out La Prima). Paul, Mary Beth and their pup Peabody are the best hosts. Quick responses, proactive service and fun yap sessions. I cannot recommend this place enough! The cost per night is competitively affordable—especially for the kind of stay they offer!
Very cool place to stay and a great launchpad for the GAP. Owners and staff were helpful and provided lots of local information and recomendations. The common areas were comfy and welcoming.
Great stop a must have after days of the gap and c&o
It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Travelers Inn, lovely staff, great location with easy bike access to the stadiums and inner city. I will be back!
Beautiful building, quiet at night, comfortable beds and pillows. It is truly a Traveler's Rest.
