Northwest Portland Hostel

It was very clean, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. However, when I arrived, the bed was extremely messy and I honestly couldn’t tell whether it had been cleaned or not, so I ended up checking out after just one night. Overall though, the atmosphere was pretty decent.

My stay here was fantastic. Wonderful rooms, amazing sense of community. Plus, it's clean, safe, and right in the heart of NW Portland. Such a great spot for solo travelers looking to experience Portland!

10/10 experience. This was my first time ever staying in a hostel and honestly, it completely exceeded my expectations. After coming back to the U.S. from Cambodia, I was looking for somewhere peaceful, clean, and comfortable to rest & this place was exactly that. I stayed in the female dorm and ended up having the room to myself which made it feel especially private and relaxing. Everything was much cleaner than I expected and I immediately felt comfortable. I didn’t have to worry about bugs, germs, noise, or anything stressful. The atmosphere was calm, safe, and peaceful the entire time. Even walking around the neighborhood felt nice and welcoming. As a young traveler, this was such a positive experience for me, and it honestly made my transition back home feel a lot easier. I already can’t wait to stay here again next week. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with a large group. They were super easy to work with in arranging rooms for everyone and organizing catering for dinner and breakfast. The management was attuned to our groups needs during our stay and helped accommodate us by providing us with spaces to store our food and gather in.

Top notch service with warm and friendly staff. The availability of a full kitchen & laundry was extremely helpful during my stay. As we're the open late café and variety of events including free wine & beer tastings, comedy night, with live music options: open mike & fiddling & knife sharpening. Most excellent was the companionship of fellow travelers in the unique common areas and Secret Gardens. Bike parking and handicap access rounded out the amenities as does its centrally located NW Portland location. I have stayed here a few times on my visits to Portland, mostly as a solo traveler, this time I brought my girlfriend, we had a wonderful private room, with a very comfortable bed’ 💪👍 thank you

Our team hosted an offsite meeting at the Portland Hostel and had a great experience. The food was excellent, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the space worked perfectly for our group. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Only place I stay at when in Portland. You can dorm rooms or even private rooms with private bathrooms. The dorm rooms obviously have shared bathrooms. But there are also single private rooms with shared bathrooms. So lots of great options. The communal kitchen is really clean and a great place to store your stuff in the fridge. And of course the hostel Cafe is really popular. You can get parking for $10 a day which is street parking in zone. M. There are lots of nearby cafes and restaurants, and of course Portland has awesome public transportation.

Great place for your buck 👏, friendly staff that are very ententive to you and care what you need, close to a lot of things as well which is huge if you don't like wondering too far. Just overall, a wonderful place definitely will come back again if I decide to come back to portland again!!!
