Drove here from St. Clair Shores for Pronto's lesbian night. Lesbian-centered events are extremely hard to come by, even in the liberal metro Detroit/Ferndale area, so I was looking forward to it. When I got there, the bar was full of men, because the event leading up to lesbian night was watching Ru Paul's Drag Race. I find it incredibly disappointing that the *one night of the month* that is supposed to be for lesbians has something so obnoxiously male-centered leading it off. No lesbian movies or TV? Or even a show about drag kings? The organizers of this bar are at best tasteless and at worst hostile. This event seems less like an event to honor the lesbian community and more like an easy way to siphon money from a demographic that is starkly underrepresented, even in queer spaces. I won't be coming back. Also, the bar was loud as hell, requiring you to yell to talk to someone a foot away from your face.

one of the best spaces with some of the best drag to offer in Michigan… which is why the heavy use of generative AI in their advertising is so disappointing. patrons want to see and spend their hard earned money on the REAL performers you have on cast, not AI slop versions of them or AI generated drag queens that don’t even exist. they’ve also been deleting comments and blocking people that call them out online which is ridiculously unprofessional. will not be returning to or support this bar until they change and start showing their community some respect.

Our waiter was obviously newer to his role (possibly his first weekend). He made some mistakes that didn't sit well with his manager, who berated hom quite loudly. (And part of the issue was an adjustment he tried to make in their ordering system, that he supposedly wasn't supposed to have the credentials for, but he did.) It was early, and we were the only diners, but still found it very undermining. You're supposed to criticize in private.
