Legit one of the worst hotels in Michigan and maybe the whole country that's how bad it is 😭

If I could give zero stars I would. The pictures on Expedia are NOTHING like it looks. I got two rooms, one of them as soon as you walked in it smelled like a mix dog pee, nasty BO, and who knows what else. I went to a Best Western 15 minutes away, paid $20 more per room, and didn't have to worry about taking diseases home. When I told the lady at the desk, she didn't apologize. Which shows they are fully aware of it. Shame on you people for thinking it's okay for anyone to sleep in a place like that. Stop taking advantage of people with no money that can't afford a better place, take your money and clean the rooms, and maybe you should go sleep in that room and tell me if you're okay with it.

I wouldn’t leave a rat in that hotel without feeling bad! The first room was out of a horror film! Very dirty.. Asked for another room. Second room wasn’t as dirty but still would not leave an animal there! The rugs were damp and dirty, walls were filthy, toilet was running and filthy! Tub was painted and the paint was cracked and peeling, exposing the filth underneath. Place stunk of old cigarettes and marijuana. Hair in the bed from previous stay. Thank GOD we were able to book elsewhere!! We booked through a 3rd party, so we were not able to get a refund. That’s a loss I was willing to take!!!! Front desk woman was very friendly and helpful. I can say that. There rumors of bed bugs and roaches. I did not stay long enough to find out! Overall, DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Don’t waste your time! 2/2/26

One star is too high for this hotel. As a sports family that spends nearly every weekend in a hotel, I can assure you this is the second worst hotel we have ever stayed at (the worst one was bulldozed within 6 months of us staying there) This hotel can only be saved by the same fate. The only positive is that as far as I could tell there were no bed bugs. The weed smell, and physical haze and residue all over the mirrors and vents in this room cannot be healthy.

My gf and I decided to go on a weekend vacation here, and to say the least it was nowhere near what we expected. Pretty disappointed with the other nicer looking hotels down the street. When we got there they made us charge an extra $50, but since we didn’t have that, they still made us pay a $20 deposit. Walking through the hallways there’s a mix of the smell of cigarettes, weed, food, and just plain uncleanness. Found a small live roach that we killed on the first floor hallway wall. When getting up to our floor outside our room it started to smell fair or just like a regular hotel should. We had a jacuzzi suite on the second floor in room 201. It was bearable for us since there were no bed bugs or live roaches in our room (I found two very small dead ones—one behind the bedroom dresser and another in the front room drawer underneath the TV). The carpet was ok but definitely needed to be vacuumed better in the corners and along the walls. Stains of dirt and even blood on the walls, pictures, lamps, and curtains. Bed sheets seemed to be fine, but had some minor stains from food/drinks underneath mattress, and along with hair and crumbs. Couch/furniture looked old and dirty with stains. Shower curtain rod looked like it was going to fall out of the wall soon. Bathroom door didn’t close at first (had to kick it shut). The only good things were that the bed was comfortable, jacuzzi worked and was pretty clean. The pool room floor is a bit dirty along with some of the plumbing, but the pool itself was not bad—water inside is a bit murky. TV, fridge/freezer, A/C, and most lights worked (except for the one above the jacuzzi). Microwave seemed to work but didn’t use it. We had to go out to Kroger and buy spray for the bugs in case there were any, along with Lysol and Pine-Sol to wipe things down like the tables, toliet seat, and bathtub. I don’t think any hotel should make anyone feel like they have to go out of their way just to clean their rooms upon arrival. Please be careful and read your reviews before going here or to any hotel in the future. The pictures on the website are very misleading and false. Cops drive around the parking lot each day, and just overall a very ghetto vibe. It wasn’t terrible for our stay but it definitely could’ve been much much better. Felt “safe” enough to stay two nights, but will never be coming back here again!

Dirty, run down, false advertisement when booking rooms.

The place is dirty , outdated, the staff LIED and told me they would refund me, because I didn’t want to stay there, when in fact, they did charge my card! Stay away!

My husband and i visited this hotel January 21-23rd 2026 and they did not shovel, the staff wasn’t friendly and we BOTH got bitten by bugs. Im not sure if it was bed bugs or not but the room was disgusting there was stains on the sheets, cover, towels, walls and dressers. The wifi did not work at all and i don’t know if i mentioned before i have MULTIPLE bug bites. I should’ve saved my money or went somewhere else

My wife and I stayed here Jan 21-23rd 2026, and it was by far the worst hotel ive been at. First, they do not shovel the lot at all and my wife and I were constantly slipping outside. There were stains on the blankets and pillow cases, and the ‘window’ in our room was just the view of the pool room which was dirty and you can hear everything going on in the pool room in our room. Their wifi does not work well or pretty much at all. The employees werent really friendly or welcoming, and since being there my wife and I have been breaking out almost as if they have bugs. I dont recommend coming here at all. It has to be your literal last resort if you have to. Ill be going back to the Baymont.

The room is very spacious and there is a warm pool and the staff are very friendly and very accepting and accommodating of my service dog as I am a traveling delivery driver and maintenance person for a corporate chain. It's quiet and the rooms are easily accessible.
