I haven't stayed at a Hilton in a long time due to their corporate policies, but I decided to give them another shot. This stay reminded me exactly why they are one of the worst hotel brands out there. The rooms feel cheap, breakfast isn't included, and the breakfast you can pay for is absolute garbage. To make matters worse, giving guests lukewarm bottled water in 110-degree weather as some kind of "elite benefit" is a total joke. Don’t get me wrong—the hotel isn’t a complete dump, and the location is good. However, the final straw was the service. When I asked for a late checkout, I was told they had already reached their "maximum allowed late checkouts for the day." It is the middle of summer, and the hotel wasn't even at full capacity. Hilton is a brand that pretends to care about its guests while enforcing ridiculous policies, nickel-and-diming you for everything, and serving subpar food. Do yourself a favor and stay at a Marriott or a Hyatt instead—they are much better.
I rarely write reviews, but I am forever grateful for the Hilton Garden Inn in Scottsdale. First, they don’t charge an extra resort fee. I was there last year and they weren’t too busy, so they upgraded me to a better room. I always take the first flight and barely sleep the night before; both times I arrived early, they checked me in, right away, which was a great bonus. This time, I had a little problem at night, but Mach and Shannon went out of their way to help me. I wish every hotel would be so kind and generous. Even the next day, they made sure I was okay. I will definitely be back next year, and if you’re looking for good hospitality at a great rate, look no further!
Great spot in Old Town. Rob is the best! Best staff at any Hilton property anywhere. Favorite spot to stay!
This was an intensely uncomfortable stay that reflects a lack of attention to detail - curtains that won't close, random beeping noises, no soundproofing of doors so I kept getting woken up by slamming of doors and loud inconsiderate hotel guests, no complimentary dental hygiene kit within easy reach. With the noise and light pollution from outside, despite having arrived at 3am my time (12pm local) completely weary to the bone, I only managed to clock in 3 hours of intermittent sleep
Clean rooms, and great service. Lots of restaurants within walking distance
