The McCormick Scottsdale

Pros: Great location in Scottsdale Very reasonable summer rates, clean. Cons: dated, somewhat shabby furnishings, no microwave in room. The room rate was advertised as including breakfast but it was only available on certain days of the week. There is one microwave in the snack bar area that is available for all the guests. The hotel is advertised as pet friendly but there are no pet amenities and I had to inquire about pet waste bags/stations available. Concern: The front desk Manager Stefan insisted that my registered service animal was not allowed inside the pool area. Arizona law states that service animals are allowed inside hotel pool areas. I mentioned that in the future guests with service animals should be allowed access. Stefan continued to disagree and refused to look at the documentation online. He was confrontational and responded that, "If your dog has an accident, that's on you."

Have to give it up for Angie and Bella upfront 🙌🙌 just checked in but 10/10 service Bartender Terry also certified and highly recommended

Great price and location

Rooms are outdated and need a good deep cleaning and updating but the pool was amazing. Unfortunately the palm tree guys were working right outside our room very early when we were trying to sleep in.

First thing the front staff was wonderful and accommodating so this was not on them! But the room I was put in 142 YIKES! I always check my mattress in any hotel! Just disgusting, they were accommodating and switched my room which was much better.

The rooms need microwaves for easy access to heat up our food. The distance to walk was too far just to heat up my food. The fridge is too small. Overall I enjoyed the stay, I really enjoyed the balcony view.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We booked a three-day stay here in June 2026. The computers were down at check-in, so the had to restart them about 3 times. They told us that housekeeping would only come if we requested it. While we were gone the next day, housekeeping came in without a request and despite a do-not-disturb sign on the door. Our toilet wouldn't flush properly and we had to have them fix it twice. The nightstand had a sticky residue on it. The wall had a random sticky spot too. The pool was okay but a little dirty. The included kayaks/peddleboats were fine, but there was literal goose shit all over the sand next to them. We asked them to move us to a new room because of the toilet and it smelled like smoke, so we cancelled the remainder of our stay and left early. This place has good reviews and seemed like it would be a good option, but we had a poor experience.

Great stay overall, they got me in when the original hotel i had scheduled had closed down. so i was very greatful for them and helping me find a room for even a little cheaper than the original plan. The evening gal at the time 5/27/26 was so great. Hope she sees this

Love this place the front desk girl Jules so helpful and nice she performed above and beyond her duties to make sure are stay was warming we are a traveling company that does corporate events to have someone greet us like that was just a blessing thanks Jules for your hospitality
