The Seattle King County Chapter of the National Organization for Women has spent more than 50 years at the center of feminist activism in the Pacific Northwest.
This group got its start in 1970, the 36th chapter of NOW in the country. It's been pushing for women's rights and gender equality ever since, through advocacy, community work, and grassroots organizing.
NOW Seattle is also an LGBTQ+ organization. It's a place where anyone interested in feminist causes and women's empowerment can feel welcome. They work on systemic inequalities, trying to make real changes in communities all over Seattle and King County. If you go, you'll meet people who care deeply about social justice, equality, and building a more inclusive society.

Absolute waste of my time and money. The people I communicated with sound like any misogynist. "There's nothing I can do", "we don't have enough resources", "it's not misogyny" (literally a piece by piece match of content from Kate Manne's book Misogyny), "the board said". Go to any corporate board run by all men and tell me what the difference between how NOW handled the situation and their behavior is. You will find none. ABSOLUTE waste of time and money. I wish I could ask for my money back. They spend it all on junk mail and fundraising harassment and then don't actually want to do any real work. Big NO to NOW. Just another lot of female misogynists pretending to be feminist. No, no and NO again. Feminism sounds NOTHING like the patriarchy. We have can-do, supportive, validating attitudes. Seattle NOW, that isn't you. At all. NO.
