Professional all the way. Glamorous rooms for the right price. This hotel offers a beautiful view of the local area. A must if you need a hotel.
We were welcomed by a very pleasant lady named Melissa. She made check in a breeze. The room was very nice. Beautiful modern theme in warm grays and white. We had a gorgeous view of Sioux Falls. The shower was beautifully tiled with glass doors. The Highpointe also has an attractive bar and lounge that over looks the city. They have a nice wine list with an appetizer menu. We got the boneless chicken, ribs and margaritas bread. Delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel if your in the area.
The hotel itself was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The room was clean and spacious, with a large walk-in shower. That said, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. Hotels.com advertises this property as having a buffet breakfast, which was one of the reasons I booked. What was provided was not a true breakfast buffet. It was closer to a limited continental breakfast with cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit, waffles, packaged items, and drinks. There were no basic hot breakfast staples such as eggs, bacon, sausage, or any meaningful protein option. The selection leaned heavily toward processed, carb-heavy foods and did not match what I would reasonably expect from a hotel advertising a breakfast buffet, especially at this price point. I have had better breakfast options at much cheaper hotels. Overall, I liked the hotel, but I might not return unless the breakfast is improved. When traveling, having a proper breakfast is very important to me, and this fell well short of expectations. I hope the hotel corrects its Hotels.com listing so future guests know what they are actually getting.
The room was very clean and comfortable with beautiful floor to ceiling windows. I was not expecting the hotel to be attached to the hospital, but it was still a very pleasant stay. I would stay here again.
Karl at the front desk was extremely helpful in changing my stay dates. Originally I had used the Expedia app to get my room and selected the wrong date. After seeing my confirmation come through I panicked and tried to change my date on Expedia. Expedia was not helpful even though it was minutes after I booked. They were not going to refund me any of my money. I called the hotel in a little bit of a panic, but Karl was more than willing to help me out. Thanks to Karl, he was able to change my date.
Too far in town for overnight convenience.
