Quality Inn St. Augustine Historic District

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great staff I really enjoyed my stay

We stayed here for a week and had a very good experience. We called to let the desk know we would be arriving very late (after midnight) and they were very understanding of this. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly, and we paid a very reasonable rate for something that is so close to the St. Augustine Historic District. There was a good variety of options for breakfast and it was consistent each day. I also appreciated how big their dining room was because I think hotels/motels have a tendency to make their dining rooms way too small. There was always a place for us to sit and eat. The landscaping outside and pool were very pretty. There’s even a little hose where we were able to rinse the sand off our feet and shoes before entering our room after a beach day. Housekeeping did a good job of attending to our room each day and were very good about making sure to knock even if we did not hang up the “Do Not Disturb“ sign. I was impressed at how well they remembered when we would be leaving (we would usually say in about an hour or so) after speaking with them and then still making sure to come back and clean our room for the day. Do be careful not to get confused as the location is still working on their transition to a Quality Inn from Southern Oaks Inn so not all their branding is changed over yet. We will definitely stay here again when we return to St. Augustine!

A motel. No more. No less.

Just minutes away from the St. Augustine historic center, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was basic american/continental but just what we needed to start the day. Would recommend.

The location was decent. The gentleman at the front was very personable and helpful. The rooms were what you pay for, mismatch tile, riped chairs but, clean. They charge you $10.65 for parking WITHOUT telling you or any signage. I find that dishonest and sneaky.

This is NOT Southern Oaks Inn anymore. The rooms are disgusting: the paint is peeling off the walls, there are roaches on the walls/bed, and an awful smell. The grass has grown up and all the beautiful flowers that were on the building are dead and falling off the building. They're still using the phone number that says Southern Oaks Inn and the website to book rooms. Just know it's not the same motel at all. We loved Southern Oaks Inn, we stayed there 14-17 times but the new owners are awful. Do to the condition of the room we requested our money back, they refused to give us our money back or any paperwork showing we didn't stay. They even threatened to call the police on us when we told them how disappointed we were to see what had happened to what was Southern Oaks Inn. I would not recommend this place for your family at all!

No dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils. Full kitchen and nothing to cook with. We gave them a second shot. Not a good fit for the standard of what we expected. Put the trip through Priceline with Insurance and when I had a family emergency come up, they said they could see where he purchased the insurance, but refused to honor it. Shower head was covered in mildew. So the rooms obviously aren’t cleaned properly. There were stains on the sheets. Not recommended for my followers.

It was an ok hotel for my two night stay will never do longer ... It would be a very nice hotel if they would do some upgrading the building outside had all dead vines if someone was to throw a cigarette the whole place would catch fire in seconds ... They need more cover for the pool it's not heated but the water was hotter than actually being out of the pool and I felt very greasy and dirty after swimming for 20 mins ... The rooms were nice except the beds were hard as a rock and the shower leaked all over the floor ... Don't get very many channels for cable .... The housekeeping was rude walked in the room with my family sleeping even with the Do not disturb sign on the dog park grass needed to be mowed (grass was very tall ) for 200 bucks for 2 nights I will be picky you have to pay 25 a day per dog and 10 dollars a day to park (mine for one dog and 2 days came up to like 72 with tax) ... I stayed here like 4 years ago and they was amazing provided dog bowls and beds for free now nothing .....The good parts of it was the breakfast was pretty good and the staff at the front desk was nice and it literally was about 20 mins from the beach ....

Quality in name only! This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Don't walk away - run. As soon as you get to the front desk, despite the "deal" you'll get on Hotels.com or a similar platform, they are going to hit you with a $10 parking fee. I have never heard of such a thing in all my travels - not to mention, their parking lot is enormous and not filled up by any means. Then, once you get to your room - cheap, cheap, cheap. Obviously, when booking a stay such as this one, most of us are not looking for luxury - just a place to stay that is clean and safe. This property barely meets these thresholds - absolutely everything in the room and around the property is cheap, cheap, cheap, and this ownership is looking to "nickel dime" you however they possibly can. Entire atmosphere is hostile and the entire place is crap.

I'm disabled, the consirge switched me to the disabled room with in five minutes.
