DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District
Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent location, noting its convenience for exploring the historic district and its proximity to restaurants. Nice and clean place!
The first I'd like to say I'm a Hilton Honors silver member. So I stay at Hilton properties occasionally during my travels. The hotel is nicely located and not far from the historic area. Across from the fountain of youth. My room was fine and I had a good night's sleep. The coffee is also very good. I rarely ever ask for a late checkout but this morning I was running a little behind and I had some things I wanted to take care of before I left. I went to the front desk and talk to them while getting coffee and they said I had to check in with housekeeping at 9:00 a.m. to get a late checkout. So I called back a little after 9:00 to the front desk and they said that housekeeping wasn't available but they could check with them. The lady came back and said that I couldn't have a late check out. It's Tuesday after Memorial Day and the hotel is half full. The parking lot is only half full. I'm sure the hotel is not fully booked for today either. I would have appreciated a little courtesy and let me stay till 1:00 before leaving. Other than that it's a decent hotel and I would probably stay here again if I don't need a late checkout. LOL
Initially thought it was a good place to say. But then 15 minutes before check out they turned off the water and said it won’t be turned on until check in time….
Droid spending time in St Augustine with childhood friend
Room was clean, parking was easy, what really made the difference was the service. Marsha is absolutely fantastic. So professional and friendly and helpful. I wish I could have a Marsha at every hotel I stay at, please give Marsha a raise. I would come back to this hotel just to have the excellent customer service
