Couldn't have been happier

We went here for our honeymoon 6 years ago. We want to go back so bad but we want to take my ex and his wife and all seven of our kids. It's going to be a blast.

Everything was in walking distance, it was a nice inn but, be advised check-in an, ALL rooms are up stairs ,no elevator. No TV in rooms has a shared family room. Only serves pancake no breakfast buffet but, pancakes was good.

My wife and I enjoyed our second stay at the Pirate Haus. Love the old school nostalgic charm. Couldn’t ask for a better location

I had a great time here as a solo adult even though it’s more family/kid oriented. It seemed like something fun and totally different than I’m used to, and I’m so glad I booked it for my stay! It’s advertised as budget, and the building is that creaky cozy historic feel, so don’t picture luxury, but trading that for Jenny’s hospitality was worth its weight in gold dubloons. The vibes she gives are like staying with warm, welcoming, out-of-town family, including pancake breakfasts and the best assortment of coffee mugs I’ve ever seen. Could not have been happier, twelve out of ten.

We really liked this place. The theme was cute. Families with younger kids, especially pirate lovers, would like it even more. The staff were friendly. Don’t expect the Hilton. It’s a youth hostel style bed and breakfast. The building is older with few updates. The location was perfect since it’s just a block from the heart of St. George St. Being close is great for going where you like, but also far enough not to hinder your sleep at night. They even make pancakes with your name on them in the mornings. Don’t forget to sign up! Our room had a king and two bunk beds. Rooms vary. They say room six is haunted. Idk. Minor hang-ups for me were the steep stairs (no elevators), sparse free parking spaces, fewer outlets, and the whole building-controlled air. The building is old…I totally get it and expected it. Still would go again. Just don’t want anyone to have unrealistic expectations. Again, we loved it and are likely to go again!

Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but it exceeded expectations. It’s a great location, the people are amazingly congenial, the atmosphere is as advertised (simple yet accommodating) and the price can’t be beat. If you’re not a snob, you’ll love it for the pageantry and old-time feel.

The Pirate Haus Inn is full of charm and we couldn't have been happier to stay there. Captain Jenny ran a tight ship and provided accommodations for my crew of four. She was welcoming, hospitable, and a great pancake maker. If you are expecting a lavish hotel, with immaculate turn down service, lower your standards, or just find a high end hotel in town. If you want a cozy, fun, and unique experience when staying in St. Augustine, then The Pirate Haus Inn is the place to go. It is located within a short walk if nearly everything you might want to do in town. Make sure to walk the halls and admire the whimsical and fun collection of all things pirate-y. My family greatly enjoyed our stay and already want to make plans to return in the fall. Be aware of where to park ahead of time and be prepared to carry your luggage up a kinda steep flight of stairs, but those minor things are to be expected when staying in a building that's over 100 years old. I highly recommend The Pirate Haus Inn for your next trip to St. Augustine.

This small treasure is located in the heart of the city. The pirate hauss inn is perfectly themed. The spacious rooms have enough beds to accommodate your entire crew. 1 king size bed and 2 bunk beds in our room. There are no tvs in the rooms but a well stocked shared living room features a large TV and enough boardgames and toys to keep even the most restless little pirates busy. They offer a complimentary pancake breakfast with personalized pancakes, fruit, and coffee. The small kitchen is available for guests to prepare there own means after 930am. This is a historic building and the rooms reflect that; floors creak, older fixtures in bathrooms but with so many other cool features its to embrace these as part of the overall hotel theme.
