Hidden Gem

Hidden Gem is a pink "disco dive bar" at 3118 Locust Street in Midtown, opened in December 2023 by Amanda Helman and Susan Logsdon, the founders of the Golden Gems lifestyle brand. It doesn't call itself a gay bar outright, but its stated purpose is to raise up the city's queer and feminine community, and the calendar runs to drag shows, drag bingo, karaoke, themed trivia and DJ dance nights. The two-storey room has about 300 disco balls, a 60-foot curved bar and a 1970s-style conversation pit upstairs. The house Gay Water is vodka, cranberry and lime, and there are two mocktails.
