The appearance of the hotel is nice and clean. The staff is friendly. However, I will never stay again and will recommend to others to stay somplace else. 2 major issues, 1 minor. Major #1: The floor to floor noise. We stayed in room 133. The people above us were jumping, walking, running all hours of the night. The wooden floors did not hide the noise, it was absolutley terrible. Major #2: an apparent housekeeper supervisor just walked into the room without announcement or knocking, while my partner was still in the room. They startled eachother. When the woman was aked about what she wanted from our room, she said she had to check on the work of housekeeping, walked into the bathroom then left. No appology, and again no annoucment. This is trully uncalled for. The minor issue is the shower water pressure. Just a dribble, no pressure. For Hilton standards, I feel this hotel just does not meet what the standards should be.

There is good and bad. Relative to other Tapestry hotels I have stayed, this one misses the mark. The hotel has a good location and lots of free car parking. I understand and appreciate it is a heritage building and the hotel has quirks that come with that… the squeaky floors and thin walls mean the hotel is very noisey. The air conditioner in the room was also noisey, so much so I needed to turn it off to get any sleep, as a result I did not get a very good rest here. The bathroom was clean and well presented but the toilet did not function well. There were times when reception was unattended and no other staff in sight… also not Hilton standard.

Good place but there is a black guy with moustache, he is an aggressive panhandler. Unfortunately, the local police sleeps and doesn’t books this guy for being an utter nuisance. Abuses people even when you are walking on the pavement.

The hotel is built into a former synagogue. The Halls are intimate and the rooms have wonderfully High ceilings and interesting shape windows. We had a problem with the toilet in our room which could not get fixed on the Sunday night of Easter so we just dealt with it . However the front desk was friendly. There are lots of prepackaged food options to buy and there's a bar and they have an affiliation with a local coffee shop around the corner for snacks and good coffee . Super location, right on top of Campus. Free parking as well.
