Homewood Suites by Hilton Topeka

Let me start by saying I am a long-time Hilton Honors member and always try to stay at Hilton properties, especially Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites. This hotel should not carry the Hilton name. Absolute disgrace! In my life I have never had to ask for a different room at a hotel but I was not the only one needing a new room tonight, as it turned out. In our first room, the toilet wouldn't flush even with holding the handle down. The toilet seat was broken and only connected to the toilet on one side. The caulking around the tub is dried out, peeling off, and moldy. The cabinets in both the kitchen and the bathroom are extremely worn to the point the color is completely worn off in large areas. With the broken toilet we had to move to a second room. The toilet works in this room but the cabinets are again extremely worn. The Hilton provided shampoo and conditioner were empty. The refrigerator has dried food drippings on the shelves. When we arrived at this second room we spoke with a young family with several small children entering a room across the hall but we had seen them moving into a room next to our first room a short time earlier. They also had to move rooms because the A/C in their first room didn't work and the floor hadn't been cleaned as was very sticky where there had apparently been a large spill and housekeeping obviously didn't bother mopping the floor. If you are looking for a 1-Star or 2-Star level place to stay you might be satisfied here but if you are looking for a Hilton, don't waste your money. Once settled in to the second room we decided to relax in the hot tub. As soon as the hot tub was turned on foam immediately formed. For anyone who has never owned a hot tub, foam comes from excess body oils/fluids in the water because of a lack of maintenance/cleaning/treatment. I prefer to not stew is other people's body juice so that was a bust too.

The hotel was very nice and the room worked well for one night. Enjoyed my stay!

Rooms need to be cleaned better. Staff were not very helpful with anything.

Motel was clean and nice. Our suite room worked very well for our little family. Only issue we had was the air conditioner was very noisy but otherwise would stay here again!

Overall, a very nice hotel. A little bit worn out, but still very nice. Clean, Customer service was pretty good. We did have one trouble with the people upstairs making too much noise. Had to call twice to get them to quiet down. Outside of that very nice. Love the breakfast. Pool and spa were clean. Beds were very comfy.

The counter guy seemed as if he didnt want to be there. The room was great. Nice and clean. The ac was cold. Didn't have the breakfast as I slept through it.

In town to stay with two younger grandchildren so mommy and daddy could go to the hospital and have baby brother. They were late getting discharged and the kind people here allowed the two littles and I to stay here and wait for them. Breakfast spread was very nice both days we were here. Rooms clean and friendly staff.

Stayed here with my husband while he was working to visit him. Its a nice area and a nice hotel. There's plenty to do with a pool, hot tub, game room that has a pool table, air hockey and other amenities. We had our Australian shepherd with us. He's 110 pounds of dog and there was plenty of room for him in the hotel as well as a large field behind for him to frolic in during the day. The rooms have a full kitchen which is handy on long stays away from home so we can feed the kids meals instead of fast food and there's a full fridge to store things which is always beneficial.
