Kate's Lazy Desert

Absolutely beautiful. It was especially meaningful to me since I've been a fan of Kate my whole life and she brings magic and joy to my heart. Bless her and her lovely wife.

It's very nice physically, a bit out of the way, up the highway from 62. For the price, it needs to be a bit more polished. We're not picky. Everything worked, was clean, just a bit indifferent. The main gate lock is inexcusably hard to operate. Even a single LED light would help. Many things were difficult to puzzle out in the dark the first time, but worked ok; signs would help. Cooking pots were encrusted however. I have minimal camping gear in the car we used that. Expensive for what's provided.

Kate's Lazy Desert was a lovely Oasis in the desert. My bestie and I decided to take a trip to the desert for the full moon. We are both avid B52's fans and even used to be in a tribute band so this would be like going to mecca or something. We had wanted to stay in the Yellow Trailer with all the B52s stuff in it, but it wasn't available so we stayed in the Planet Air - Orange trailer, these trailers are in good shape and with a lot of the retro stuff in tact. This one had an 8 track player!!! So fun. And a lava lamp. We unplacked and went straight to the lovely small above ground pool filled with clean cool water. It was lovely to soak and lay out by the pool and relax. We wanted peace and quiet and really got it in spades. Such a cute spot and it was so cool to be around all the mid century looking items. Kat was lovely, everyone that we met was super sweet. We ended up being the only campers for the whoel time we were there! So nice and quiet and needed!
