We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind, sweet, and helpful throughout our trip. The location is perfect, and our room had a beautiful view! The property is very pretty, clean, well-maintained, and features a nice swimming pool. Since it is close to nature, we did notice a few insects, but it did not ruin our stay. It is highly recommended and very budget-friendly for anyone staying near Port Louis!

I am very disappointed with the customer service at Cocotier Hotel. My uncle was staying at the hotel and wanted to make a payment for my mother's friend, who was due to arrive later. We were told that the person responsible for handling the reservation was not present, so the payment could not be processed. I find it difficult to understand why there was no other staff member available to assist. Guests should not be left waiting because one specific employee is unavailable. To make matters worse, I had previously sent an email regarding a separate reservation and never received any response. I also made several phone calls over a number of days and was repeatedly told that the responsible person was busy and that I would need to wait. No one followed up, and no solution was provided. As a customer, this experience left me feeling ignored and undervalued. The level of service I received was so poor that it made me wonder whether all guests are treated this way, regardless of their race or colour. I sincerely hope that is the case, because no guest should have to go through such frustration simply to get assistance with a reservation. Good customer service is about communication and finding ways to help guests. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and inability to handle what should have been a straightforward request left a very negative impression. Based on my experience, the customer service was extremely poor and needs significant improvement.

This resort hotel is recommended for those who appreciate a local feel and privacy. Rather than a large, bustling beach, it's a quiet, laid-back resort where locals come to fish. There's a bus from Port Louis, and a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it easily accessible. For meals, breakfast and dinner were mainly buffet style, while lunch was ordered from the menu. They had delicious local Mauritian dishes. Since there are no restaurants nearby, I recommend booking a package that includes meals. Several marine activities are included in the package. I wanted to try SUP, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible due to strong winds or bad weather. The pool was clean and refreshing. The rooms were clean, the housekeeping staff were very polite, and the staff service was excellent. Chief Security Officer Kevin gave a warm greeting every day and was very talkative, which left a lasting impression. It was a wonderful trip.
