About this place PILS (Prévention Information Lutte contre le Sida)

PILS is Mauritius's main HIV organisation, founded in 1996. Its office is on the third floor of Labourdonnais Court, 47 St Georges Street, in central Port Louis. It runs prevention, testing referrals and support for people living with HIV, and its community work with gay and bisexual men and trans people is a big part of that. In 2026 it was one of the co-organisers of the Pride march in Rose-Hill. For a visitor, this is the place to ask about HIV testing, PEP or PrEP in Mauritius. The national helpline is 8999. You can also reach the office on 212 4841 or at info@pils.mu.
