About this place Young Queer Alliance
Young Queer Alliance (YQA) is a youth-led LGBTQ+ organisation, founded on 1 September 2014 and based in Rose-Hill, about 10 km south of Port Louis. It co-organises the yearly Pride march with Collectif Arc-en-Ciel and leads the marriage-equality campaign. On 2 February 2026 it filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission for two couples who had been refused registration. In July 2026 the commission found that refusing them was discriminatory.

Young Queer Alliance is an amazing NGO for the LGBTQIA+ community. The staffs there always do their maximum to help every beneficiaries in the community. There are Abby, Najeebah and Yan :- these staffs are very nice and helpful. Also, YQA plans many beautiful events such as focus groups, training sessions, workshops, safe space outings, etc..... Overall, it's a safe space 🌈✨️.
